The Ultimate Guide To Indexing Backlinks With A Backlink Indexer

If you want to index backlinks quickly and easily then you are in luck, because today I am going to show you which backlink indexer strategies actually work.

Getting your backlinks indexed is critical to the success of any link building campaign.

There is no point creating links if Google doesn’t index them you are just wasting your time, energy and money.

Indexing backlinks used to be a lot easier than it is today, we could just ping them or create RSS feeds and submit them to RSS directories.

That was highly effective a couple of years ago – but what about now? What is the best way to index your backlinks?

What You Will Learn

  • How to index backlinks
  • Which backlink indexer strategy is a waste of time
  • Which backlink indexing method is a waste of money

My Backlink Indexer Case Study

To find out what is the most effective way to index backlinks I decided to setup a test to measure the results of different backlink indexer approaches.

I created 5,000 links across 5 separate projects in GSA Search Engine Ranker building links to a dummy site using article directories, social bookmarks, wikis & web 2.0s.

I used Kontent Machine with the worst possible combination of settings to purposely generate the worst possible auto generated spun content you have ever seen.

The type of content people claim is impossible to index and useless in link building.

So once each of the 5 projects had 1,000 verified links – I moved onto indexing them with different methods & services.

Ping Farm

PingFarm is a free indexing service that a lot of people in forums swear by. In essence all it does is ping your backlinks and nothing more.

This is one of the oldest methods in the book that died off years ago but its still a tool many use.

The Indexification guys basically create short URL’s of your links, ping them, create & submit RSS feeds, create & ping sitemaps and also create & ping content pages with your links on.

They guarantee that Google will at least crawl every single link you submit to them. You can submit 50,000 links per day for $17.97 month.

The Lindexed service works in pretty much exactly the same way as Indexification. They use the same indexing methods except they have a unique feature called PingCloud.

However it does cost slightly more at $24.97 a month to process 50,000 links per day.

The OneHourIndexing team do not reveal the methods they use to index your links. All I know is that they use ‘secret techniques’ that ‘is not pinging, rss or link building’.

However these secret techniques come at a greater cost – $17 to process 1,000 links per day or $47 / 10,000 per day or $97 / 30,000 per day.

Control Group

The 5th project I created with GSA was a control group of links. These links will not be submitted to any indexing service or pinged in any way, shape or form.

This will give us a benchmark to measure the other services against to see if indexing services do actually work or not.

Link Indexing Case Study Results

Remember each of the 4 services and control project above had a set of 1,000 verified links each created using the absolute worst quality content I could generate.

I submitted each set of links into their respective indexing services and then index checked the links daily using Scrapebox for 15 days.

Quite often Scrapebox reports links aren’t indexed but when you check yourself, they are. To avoid this I ran a ‘double pass’ index check every day double checking if links are indexed or not.

The Results Are In

Here is a quick summary of the results after 15 days looking at the total % of links indexed.

Service Day 1 Day 7 Day 15
Control 9.03% 10.40% 11.44%
Indexification 8.11% 28.09% 25.89%
Lindexed 8.20% 9.12% 10.29%
OneHourIndexing 9.91% 51.62% 51.62%
PingFarm 8.36% 9.70% 10.27%

As you can see the results are pretty clear cut, especially when you look at it in graph form-

Wrapping It Up

Without a doubt OneHourIndexing is by far the best link indexing service money can buy. It absolutely dominated the results.

Interestingly using the paid Lindexed service or the free PingFarm service offers absolutely zero benefits performing at the same level as the control group.

They are just a waste of time & money.

Using the Indexifcation service does have some benefit but only gets half the links indexed than OneHourIndexing.

However OneHourIndexing is 4 times the price of Indexification so that weighs into it.

The best backlink indexer

In my opinion – if you have already invested the time and money creating links. Then there is no point cutting corners when it comes to getting them indexed!

Backlink Indexing Rankings

In summary here is what you need to know-

  1. OneHourIndexing – The best service period.
  2. Indexification – Half as good, 4 times cheaper.
  3. Lindexed – Don’t waste your money.
  4. PingFarm – Don’t waste your time.

The Best Way To Get Backlinks Indexed

  1. Wait upto 2 weeks for Google to find them naturally
  2. If they are not indexed, ping each of them which is free to do
  3. Wait another week
  4. If the backlinks are still not indexed submit them to OneHourIndexing or Indexification
  5. Track all of your results
  6. This process will guarantee your backlinks get indexed

So there you have it, if you want to get your links indexed use OneHourIndexing. They are the best backlink indexer. If you use Lindexed or Pingfarm, stop wasting your time & money.

The next time you see someone telling someone to ping backlinks to index them give them a slap with this post :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Google indexing mean?
Google indexing is when the websites that Google crawlers return to the database, are organised and indexed within the database to make them easily accessible when someone searches for the relevant keywords or phrases that match that website.

So in basic terms, Google indexing is like adding a tag to each website and filling it away.

How long does it take Google to recognize backlinks?
Google will recognize any new backlinks added to a site when it recrawls the website.

So the amount of time it takes for your backlinks to become SEO effective depends on how often your site is crawled. This varies depending on the type of site you have.

What is crawling and indexing?
Crawling and indexing are the processes that Google uses to add websites to its database.

The first stage is crawling, where Google bots go out into the web to find websites and crawling is when the websites found are then tagged and organised within the database.

How Do You Get Your Backlinks Indexed Fast?
How to get your backlinks indexed is simple:

  1. Wait 2 weeks to see if Google find them naturally
  2. If not indexed then ping each one which is free
  3. Wait for another week
  4. If the backlinks still aren’t indexed then submit them to a tool like Indexification or OneHourIndexing
  5. Track your results
  6. This process is guaranteed to get your backlinks indexed

How Can I Speed Up Google Indexing?

  1. Go to Google Search Console and click ‘Use new Search Console’.
  2. Enter in the full URL at the top of the page of the link that you want indexing.
  3. Then click ‘Request Indexing’.
  4. You need to wait for a few hours and repeat steps one & two to see if your page has been indexed.

    what if Links are no-follow?

    • Matthew Woodward
      October 24th, 2019 at 3:57 am

Having a certain amount of no-follow links is good for a natural-looking link profile but they won’t give you any SEO juice apart from the organic traffic that comes to your site through them.

Debate is good even when idiots are given a chance to speak their minds. Can’t see what this DamageX dude is rattling on about and discrediting your presentation for no more reason than his mama’s basement was flooded out and he now has nowhere to go from here but come on your blog to put on a show.

For the fact that you responded would have filled his pitiful life with a wave of self gratification as he has accomplished the one thing he has always wanted – someone to give him some attention.

It’s a very valuable post and what one should do is perform your own analysis to determine which of the services are worthwhile of one’s time and money for getting your backlink indexed in the search engines.

Great work Matthew, I have used your SEO and digital marketing tips as directed and have gotten tremendous results especially in the last three months or so and guess what? I’m getting better than average results that would have otherwise cost me thousands of dollars.

Hello Matthew ! Why you don’t review GSA Indexer on GSA Software ?

    • Matthew Woodward
      May 10th, 2017 at 8:32 am

        February 27th, 2017 at 10:46 am

Yes i know pinging not working nowadays as worked previous but we can not say that pinging stopped working because it may not help in google search but other search engines can get signal from pinging and pinging is only to tell search engine about any change in your website. too much pinging can harm but pinging after weeks and months may not harm your website.

        • Matthew Woodward
          February 27th, 2017 at 10:47 am

You are literally wasting your time that could be spent on something that actually matters

  117. Silas Nkoana

I get overly excited when i see the word case study because i know i will be shown PROOF. I would like to ask, do these methods work for links left on commentluv blogs? do you recommend linkbuilding in this manner in the year 2016?

    • Matthew Woodward
      March 1st, 2016 at 3:03 pm

Yes I also recommend this for relationship and traffic building at the same time!

  118. Attila

I studied a lot about the GSA software and in many video the presenter says that not necessary to use indexer service with this program, because if you build multi tier links the tiers helps indexing the backlinks. It is true?

    • Matthew Woodward
      March 1st, 2016 at 3:06 pm

That is true, you can index backlinks with backlinks but that can create a never ending chain :)

      • Attila
        March 1st, 2016 at 4:50 pm

Oh, so If I index only the ultimtate tier it is enough? Or you send to indexer every tier?

          March 2nd, 2016 at 10:04 am

Well the more that is indexed, the better

  119. Adam

    Hey Matthew,

I Googled “indexing links” and you were #1 . I created a tool called that notifies you when a URL becomes indexed/de-indexed. It also submits de-indexed URLs to indexing services automatically for you via their API’s. It’s great for many things like citations, GSA and just knowing if your links/PBNs fall off G’s index. We pay 30% aff commisions and would love for you try it out. Cheers.

    • Matthew Woodward
      March 1st, 2016 at 3:08 pm

That is a nice tool Adam and I have approved your comment so others can try it out :)

  125. Sultan Sumit Arefin

Matt, I am really a great fan of your tutorials, not your’s :P. Another thing I really want to know from you that what is your opinion about backlinksindexer? This is business unfortunately and tools like that are expensive to build and maintain.

  132. Roy

What a tool that guy was.

Sounds like he made some valid points about comparisons to other indexers but you wasted far to much time giving him a platform to rant.

But look how well this post has ranked! Boom

However, I’m new to the game and the massive differences of opinion has left me confused what’s the best route to take – any chance of a follow up post sometime soon to add your usual clarity.

Well I am always open to conversation :) I will update this post at some point but not in the immediate future sorry

  133. Nik

OneHourIndexing is completely piece of cr*p. It looks like this “service” is just a fraud – NONE of my links were indexed. I’ve uploaded about 10k of them but… nothing! In the end I’ve made a test – 20 not indexed URLs.. After a week – NOTHING! Then I’ve manually submitted 5 of them through “Submit URL” service and… ALL of them were indexed during a day.
DONT waste your time and money!

    • Matthew Woodward
      August 14th, 2015 at 8:42 am

      How do you mean?

  139. JC

    Need a little clarification,
For OneHourIndexing. you have 51.62% on day 7 and Day 15… Does that mean that the % indexed by Day 7 will be the most Google will index nomatter how much time passes by?

And for Indexification, does that mean 28.1% at day 7 and you will have sites no-longer indexed after Day 15, because the rate declines to 25% at Day 15?

    Can you explain?

    Indexification 8.11% 28.09% 25.89%
    Lindexed 8.20% 9.12% 10.29%
    OneHourIndexing 9.91% 51.62% 51.62%
    PingFarm 8.36% 9.70% 10.27%

What is your thought on Instant Link Indexer? I used it and it worked pretty well but I did not see a 50% index rate.

Additionally, ignore the arm chair commandos in the comments.

      June 27th, 2015 at 9:13 am

      I haven’t used it so I can’t comment sorry

  143. Drew

I learned a lot from the post. One of the things is people are rude, but that will never change. At least the owner was kind enough to continue replying at the point I would have stopped.

I just add my backlinks (pages links are on) to google url submit. Gotta be logged in. Seems like they get indexed immediately. Same with new business directory pages our company creaates listings in. I submit them also. They are immediately indexed. When I don’t do that it takes a lot longer.

I might have drifted off topic. I think we are talking about the same thing. Anyway, hope you all have a great day. They are much better than “not so great” days.

My 2 cents, usually only worth 1 cent.

I just purchased scrapebox based on your suggested guide/review.

The only issue I’m having is how to check to see if the links I’ve submitted to are actually indexed.

I want to verify this via scrapebox, any idea how I can do this? Can you point me in the right direction?

Well I read your post and bought one hour indexing thinking it to be good service. but i wonder how do they index links in 1 hour when its been more than 24 hours since i paid them and my account still not activated. 164. Sheikh Ovais

    Hi Matt,

I’ve got a very basic question about link indexing.

Will I need to submit the URL of the page where I’ve dropped a backlink to get it indexed?

Is this the case, or something else? I actually have no idea about all this. I’ll be glad if you help a bit.

    • Matthew Woodward
      October 14th, 2014 at 10:37 pm

Yes the page the link to your site is actually on must be indexed

  165. Will Robins

DUDE… I was totally waiting for you to literally make a video explaining to the RAGER at the top how to properly conduct yourself and how a test works.

I got the point of the test. I get what dude is saying. I also get the fact that you gotta pay for your time.

All included – I Will Try A Few Out and see what the results are.

Otherside of the comments – PR and DA/PA of the links could reflect the indexing as well. I trusted you did this as all your other test with that fact in place.

Sites being crawled and your link being there vs. indexing. I think the brevity confused a lot of people as they don’t understand half of what they are doing (don’t necessarily need to either) when they are building backlinks etc…

    Cool post – Thanks

This is a bit off topic but

Do you use a VPS for GSA?

How many projects to you run?

I’m currently running 11 projects on GSA and getting “out of memory” pop up, even after I upgraded to windows VPS 3 in power up hosting, and taking my threads down to 60.

I’ve contacted the GSA forum but they said its just how GSA is, but a lot of other people dont seem to get this problem unless they run 40 plus projects.

        Do you have any idea?

        • Matthew Woodward
          September 8th, 2014 at 11:59 pm

          Yes I use PowerUpHosting personally!

  166. David

    Hi Matt,

How about the rapid indexer in Scrapebox? I know from other tutorials that you use Scrapebox, but is it so ineffective that you haven’t even tried it for benchmarking sake?

I have scrapebox and would rather not buy another tool if I can avoid doing so.

  167. Clara

Very happy to have found this blog – I’ll see what I can learn from it. As for the case study up above, it certainly would have helped to post proof of the results; not merely the results, themselves. Or, to post a link to them offsite if the information was too much.

      July 28th, 2014 at 1:40 pm

      You can download my results

  168. seanydee

I actually think this was a quite good review inspite nutjobs rantings

    For these reasons:

If you check the search engines for indexing services one or two of the crap ones rank at the top.

If you are a noob to seo you might well assume these are the better ones.

Also as matt explained quite a few people mentioned pinging as a good way to go, so his result here proves contrary, obviously people in the know are privvy to such knowledge but the vast majority simply do not know so what he did here was a worthwhile exercise.

My only gripe with this test is that you did not pit the best indexing services against each other, as then we would have had a definitive answer, maybe that might be something to consider and would definitely add value for your readers.

All the same great job and I enjoy reading what you have to say.

    • Matthew Woodward
      July 16th, 2014 at 5:09 pm

Not that I’m aware of other than just building links to your backlinks

  170. Oyt

Normally a big fan of your content but this post is misleading. As many have said not providing proper comparisons leads to a very misleading study. I see you still have no update to this post and leaving this up in its current state is a disservice to your readers. I would either take it down or put a big disclaimer at the top saying this case study is not representative of the best indexing services on the market so people dont just rush out to buy what, according to your flawed study, looks like obviously the best indexer.

Judging from the comments of this article, the damage has already been done as people have blindly trusted that you had done the ultimate test and that the service your promoting is clearly superior to anything on the market.

    • Matthew Woodward

Your comment unsubscribe doesn’t seem to be working. I have received email notification on every single comment from the above “argument” (which is annoying), and unsubscribed from this post already, but still I keep getting email notifications on this.
Clicking on the unsubscribe button again that is in the email, just tells me no active subscriptions.

The WordPress comment system pushes comments into moderation which need to be approved before they appear. When that happens a cookie is dropped on your machine so that you can see the comment but if you come back later it might disappear.

I have seen your second comment about the issue and I can’t seem to find a quick solution so I have disabled the plugin entirely because if it’s causing problems for you, it will be causing problems for other people as well.

Sorry about that! You might get an email from a few comments I have just approved but you shouldn’t get one after this – if you do please contact me directly via

      sorry about the problems!

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 26th, 2014 at 10:46 am

What if they dont find them?

  184. Kerill

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for this detailed review. I would like to point out, that since you did a big tutorial on Rankwyz and GSA Search Enginer Ranker, you might want to consider including Express Indexer and Incredible Indexer. Mainly because these are the 2 indexing services that are supported in both, Rankwyz and GSA. For people like me who use both of those SEO tools, it would be handy to only have to sign up with one indexing service that can be used in both tools.

Oh and also as asked by others, including GSA SEO indexer in your follow up test would also be nice, mainly because it’s a one time payment and made by the creators of GSA.

In a nutshell, if you can add these services to the follow up test, that would be incredible:

    Express Indexer
    Incredible Indexer
    GSA SEO Indexer

  196. Jeremy

If you notice, Indexification is trending downward, I wonder what their indexing rate will be at the end of a month? If it drops another 10% (I assume as the backlinks they build are devalued by Google), it makes it a lot less cost effective.

Will you do an update at the end of the month?

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 12th, 2014 at 12:25 pm

Probably not they had plenty of time and then some

  197. Michael

    Hi Matthew,

Did you check your links on Bing to see what effect these services had? With Bing/Yahoo getting approximately 30% of Google’s USA traffic (and growing) and with Google’s constant updates making the SERPs very volatile, many marketers are now focusing on secondary sites for these search engines.

However, getting links indexed in Bing is much more difficult than it is on Google. I would be interested to know if you found similar results for Bing/Yahoo.

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 12th, 2014 at 12:28 pm

The ROI in terms of time/cost for other search engines isn’t worth my attention at the moment sorry

  198. Manish

Hey Matt, thanks for the cool study another winner.

Do you drip feed your backlinks through the indexation service or do you submit in bulk?

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 12th, 2014 at 12:28 pm

      Dripped over 3 days

  199. Emmett Moore

Those guys at OneHourIndexing are smart mofo’s. Couple of years ago they figured out a way to game Yelp reviews with a service which autodripped positive reviews on seasoned accounts with IP centric control groups. Brilliant stuff.

Matthew, this post was super helpful. Gave me a boner. And I leave satisfied.

That’s a big relief to me to know that ping are waste of time……now i shall never look back to ping anything….Do you have any idea or hint what “OneHourIndexing” do for indexing our backlinks…..and i also read your “Ranking For Rand Fishkin”

There you used service (“Link Pipeline and Linklicious and mentioned that “Most of my Tier 1 backlinks were indexed the same day that they were made, and the maximum it took was 4 days.”)

So Link Pipeline and Linklicious are similar to “OneHourIndexing”

Anyway that’s article taught me something new.

      I havent sorry

  206. Sam

    Hey Matt,

Working on a bit of a budget as for now, so PingFarm is the one for me for the time being. OneHourIndexing looks good to me for the future. Will most likely start off with the $17 for 1000 links to start off with.

    Once again,

Thanks for the info again. Keep up the good work mate.

Matthew didn’t cover this directly, but Ping Farm actually doesn’t even ping. You can open up a Javascript debugging console on it and see that it gives errors. The way it was designed, browser security permissions forbid it from working.

And obviously the indexing results show that it doesn’t help that metric either. :)

  207. Lisa

Wow… interesting content Matt. Thanks for sharing this. Never heard of OneHour Indexing before… well I’m gonna sign up now.

This just proves my own theory i am doing pretty well at Indexification and i better stick with it! The results at all these new “rapid” indexers aren’t that better to deserve that high pricing

but what wonders me is that your indexing rates at all indexers in the case study are really really bad Matt, just the Control group looks ok to me as it is really important nowadays to do something about indexing the backlinks, otherwise they are just a lost effort

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 15th, 2014 at 7:45 am

I expected them to be bad purely because I used the worst quality/duplicate/junk content on the worst quality sites.

I figured if an indexing service could get something like that indexed today – then its good to go :)

  209. Nikhil

    Hi Matthew,

Great case study. Indexing site fast and properly in very important. I agree that onehourindexing is a great, but indexification is another a great choice for beginners and works great for me. :)

hi nikhil would wanted to know the sucess rate of indexification.. and one hour indexing guarentees the index rate in one hour?? please help me to buy the cheapest and best indexing service i need to index some 5000 backlinks

  210. Melvin

Pretty good job Matthew, thanks for the awesome case study!

I am quite happy myself for the 17 bucks I pay at Indexification since an year already

OneHourIndexing looks good imho, but as looking at your final indexing rates report at day 15 it doesn’t look to be worth 4 times the price of Indexification. The final results are the important ones!

I’d better stick with what I am happy with

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 15th, 2014 at 7:47 am

While it may be 4 times the price, it does give double the results. And when you put that in actual money terms its not much money to invest to double your indexing performance.

    • Justin Anderson
      May 9th, 2014 at 2:50 pm

Just to put a fine point on it…

Unless you’re using the max daily links at Indexification, One Hour Indexing will get you double the results for the same amount of money.

Very few people use the max daily links at our service, and I assume it’d be the same there.

  211. JennyMC

I took a look at Onehourindexing before a while and I am now just happy i didn’t wasted my money there.

What is their “onehour” when in your results it shows that within the 1st day only ~10% links have been indexed??

For the money they ask, all rest indexers in the case study have alike results for the 1st day!

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 15th, 2014 at 7:48 am

Well day 1 is immediately after they were submitted, and I mean like – immediately after.

  212. Jose

Why didn’t you use GSA indexer?

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 8th, 2014 at 6:19 pm

Seems stupid I didn’t include that given I used GSA to build the links – sure a followup can be done :)

  213. Roy

Why did you choose to verify indexed pages with Scrapebox instead of just using or the Google webmaster tools? It sure is less time consuming with the latter.

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 8th, 2014 at 6:20 pm

Takes 10 seconds to set Scrapebox up, then I sleep :)

  214. Marulcho

Matthew, I am following your blog from long time and I have learnt alot from You! With all my due respect I am kinda disappointed from You this time and I am sure You probably won’t even approve and publish my comment, but I wanted to share my thoughts with you

This case study looks like a clear promotion for Onehourindexing and everybody around that knows these indexers will tell you the same!

Let me tell you why… All the indexing services You used for this case study are from 2011-2012 and all they use similar old indexing techniques, while Onehourindexing just popped up (Q4 2013 ~ Q1 2014) along with few others indexers from new generation that provide ultra fast and better results than all old ones.

So, you are comparing new generation indexer with indexers 2-3 years old. It is really not a plausible case study at all

Why don’t you made the comparison with instead? It is owned by same guys running Onehourindexing and is from 2011-2012 as all other indexers in the case study.. Or why you didn’t include any from the other new generation indexers? I am pretty sure you know their names..

    Thank You for your time!

I selected the biggest/most popular services in forums to test so it would be relevant to as many people as possible.

Happy to include others in a follow up!

  215. ahardinweb

Hi Matt, great review. A couple thoughts though:

    1. Since using GSA SER, why not include GSA SEO Indexer (one time payment) in the group? Would have been very interesting to see how it stacked up against the monthly service options.

    2. Also noticed no inclusion of any of the newer “rapid” index services like Incredible Indexer, Express Indexer (both have GSA API) and Nuclear Link Indexer.

Frankly, when I saw the title of the article, I was expecting an “old vs new” rather than a comparison a few very similar options. Anyway, great read as always.

A friend of mine was talking about Onehourindexing some times ago but I never try such services. Even cause this could be a great tool for some projects.

What amazes me is that you could rank some cheap content in short term period. ….Ahh, this reminds for website flippers :)

      May 9th, 2014 at 2:40 pm

Thanks for using Linklicious – it’s best for Google awareness and cheaper than One Hour Indexing.

That said, indexing pages of a site is a slightly different animal. It’ll be impacted by a few factors:

      – Site strength/authority – Google gives strong sites more backlinks indexed
      – Site speed – This is a major factor in determining crawl rate across your site
      – Page uniqueness – Google won’t index dupe or thin content very well.

      Good luck!

  224. Sgt. Kraut

If the OneHourIndexing guys don’t use pinging, RSS, or link building then they must use social media. Otherwise my mind = blown.

  227. Tim Masthoff

Interesting study, however I would be interested more in a blind study where the OneHourBacklinks team is not aware of your account or links.

While I doubt they actually did it, it is very possible they gave special attention to the links in your project to ensure indexing as they know how powerful a good review of their service on your blog would be for business.

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 8th, 2014 at 6:33 pm

That is possible – but equally doesn’t excuse the performance of the others.

    • Justin Anderson
      May 9th, 2014 at 2:37 pm

As I mentioned in a comment above, GSA Indexer uses whois/stat site links as well as pinging the links.

You won’t see much indexing improvement over not doing anything with that approach. I’d be surprised to see a 1 or 2% increase due to the pinging. Whois/stat site links won’t help at all.

Give it a test yourself and see what happens!

  234. Nick

Thanks Matthew, great post. Pingfarm works great for me, sometimes I use Indexification too.

    • Matthew Woodward

  235. Stefan

Man, you know when to post the stuff just when I need it :D

Can you give your thoughts on these ones as well (if you used them or have a buddy who did):
Instant link indexer (claimed 50% indexing rate withing 10-30 min)
    Link centaur ($9/mo for 15k links/d)

  238. Vijayaraj

    Hie Matt,

Thanks for this post I was deciding on which service to buy for indexing since my index rate is very poor and got a mail with link to this article, glad I read it. I don’t think I’ll need 50,000 links a day plan , I won’t even need 1000 links so I think it will be best to go with One hour Indexing since Indexification and One Hour Indexing both come at same price just different link submission per day

    • Matthew Woodward

    • Matthew Woodward
      April 15th, 2014 at 7:50 am

What have you done to measure its effectiveness?

    • Justin Anderson
      May 9th, 2014 at 2:33 pm

GSA indexer works by doing two things:
      – pinging the links (without tracking crawls and repinging)
      – running the links through whois/stat/redirect style links

While this will improve indexing over baseline, I’m 100% positive that it won’t get results anywhere near an indexing service. It would have been a good test case for this study just to finally kill this as a viable option.

I’d say run your own test with a batch of links. One uses the GSA indexer and the other one doesn’t. See if the two aren’t within 1 or 2% of each other.

      • Nick Samuel
        May 13th, 2014 at 2:09 pm

Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with

Anyone buying a sponsored post risks getting a bad rap. If they came 3rd, I would have published that – but they didn’t.

In fact, Justin is the first guy to commit to that. You would be amazed how many service providers have contacted me for a sponsored review, but when I explain that if they perform badly in the test I will publish that without refund – I never hear from them again.

So kudos to Justin for actually believing in what he is saying and putting his money where his mouth is. All a sponsored post does is buy my time to test something. If its awesome or sucks is out of my control – thats what data is for.

The rules also state I will use affilaite links where an affiliate program is available. Not every service in the test had an affiliate program available.

The source data is there for you to download for yourself and review!

Now ain’t that a load of horseshit… Of course they won’t come last, since you pretty much rigged the “study”, if it can even called that.

See, a PROPER case study would’ve compared OHI to other INDEXING services, not PINGING services. Look around, there’s plenty of those out there. Compare apples to apples, my self-crowned guru friend. But I’m sure you already knew this. ;)

What’s your next trick gonna be? Are you gonna one-up Charlie Floate by beating Penguin 3 before it’s even released? :D

        You’re a hack.

        • Matthew Woodward
          May 9th, 2014 at 12:24 am

The reason 1 pinging service was included is because if you do your research, you will notice that some of the most common advice people get when they ask how to index their backlinks, is to ping them. Take a look around the warriorforum and you will see what I mean.

        • Justin Anderson
          May 9th, 2014 at 2:14 pm

          Hey DamageX –

Happy to extend a free month for you to test out the service and see for yourself how well it works. I’d just ask that you follow a reasonable protocol – randomize the links going in, have a control group with no testing, and use index checking correctly.

In our tests internally we ran a much larger sample size and had to use hundreds of proxies with a long delay to avoid ip blocks. Indexing has changed in the past few months and most people don’t realize it.

          • DamageX
            May 9th, 2014 at 5:02 pm

Not to be a dick, but what makes you think I haven’t already tried it? :)

        • Justin Anderson
          May 9th, 2014 at 10:29 pm

Running a test like this isn’t rocket science. All you need are enough links, a few accounts, and some proxies to do index checking properly.

I’ve run this type of test many times in rolling out the service, which was why I knew we’d destroy the competition.

Since I’d run comparison tests already, I knew we’d win before we started, so it was like shooting fish in a barrel.

      • DamageX
        May 8th, 2014 at 2:46 pm

        Hey Matty boy,

It was not nice of you to delete my previous reply, it huwt my feewings. :D

So in order to prevent you from being that impolite again, I’ll be taking a screenshot of this reply. Hopefully my post will show up this time, in unaltered form. If it doesn’t, well… I’ll leave it up to you to guess how many IM forums that screenshot will be going up on. :)

Anyway, on to the relevant facts. Your “case study”, if it can be called that. :)

So, children, can we say “rigged”? What you did here is you compared apples to oranges. You set out to compare how different services help index your backlinks. So far, so good. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that your whole purpose with this was to have OHI come up as the winner. Or does it? Considering some of the comments below, it surely makes me wonder.

For it to have been a somewhat objective study, you would’ve used similar INDEXING services. But what you did was you put up OHI against three PINGING services. All of which, AFAIK, don’t claim to INDEX your backlinks, only crawl them. Where’s Express Indexer? Where’s SEO Indexer? Where’s Instant Link Indexer? See where I’m going with this? Of course OHI will wipe the floor with pretty much any PINGING service, since it actually does index backlinks. But why not compare it with services doing the same, instead of those using outdated methods?

So that’s that. Now about the amount and type of backlinks you claim to have used. Why not post these here AFTER the test was complete? It’s not like someone could taint the results, after all the study is already over. Hell, you could even take screenshots of what the indexing rate was, after you ran them through the respective services, just in case someone would wanna fuck with your results afterwards. All this assuming you actually tried indexing any links to begin with. :)

It would also have been relevant mentioning which links you ran through which service. For all we know you only ran the purest of the pure backlinks through OHI and the shittiest XRumer profiles, posted on de-indexed forums, through the rest.

So what’s your next trick gonna be? Will you be one-upping Charlie Floate by defeating Penguin 3, before it’s even rolled out? :D

Overall, this “case study” is questionable, at best. I’ve ran better case studies in grade school. I don’t have time right now, but if I ever do I’ll take a look at the rest of your articles. Who knows how much fun I can have with those? ;)

When this happen a cookie is dropped on your computer so that you can see the comment, but if you come back to the post later and/or clear your cookies you won’t see it until it has been approved.

You waited 8 hours between your comments, and as I have just moved country – approving comments is the least of my prioritys.

There was only 1 pinging service included in the test. If you do your research you will see that quite often the advice given to people to index their backlinks is pinging. Obviously me and yourself know that isn’t very effective and hasn’t been for years, but this is still sage advice on some forums like WarriorForum which is why it was included.

when someone pays me to do a sponsored review what they are actually buying is my time to look at a service. They are not buying my opinion or a positive review.

I am very clear about this-

“Please be aware if your product/service performs poorly that will be reflected in the review without refund. My readers rely on my upfront, straight to the point transparency. Sponsored post or not this will remain true.”

I get asked nearly daily to create sponsored reviews but when I explain the above to people, they don’t want to buy them anymore. Every time I have explained that to someone, I have cost myself $997 simply to protect the integrity of the blog.

I could have easily cleared $50,000 in sponsored reviews the past 2 years if I wanted to, but thats not how I do business and anyone that has worked with me will know that I really don’t care about money so much (have a read of to understand my mindset/approach with that better).

In nearly 2 years only 1 company has believed in their own product enough to take me up on the sponsored review advertising option which speaks for itself.

If they performed badly – that would be reflected in the review. I shared all of the case study data for people to verify that for themselves, and if thats not good enough – your welcome to conduct your own tests.

If you have any suggestions for how I could approach that side of things better please let me know. I’m not sure how I can be any more transparent than that with case studies sponsored or not.

Dixon Jones (Majestic SEO) also made bias accusations when I published this post (which was not a sponsored post).

What he didn’t realize is that the people that came last in that case study had literally given me thousands and thousands of dollars worth of prizes for the readers weeks before. This led to a very awkward conversation with them and their CEO was forced to address the issue publicly with this response

So while I understand your frustration – the truth is only myself, clients I have worked with & companies that have approached me for a sponsored review or tried to pay me to include them on my tools of the trade list will understand the sacrifices I make to protect the blog.

The setup of this specific test was explained in the post. I made 1 GSA project with the worst possible links and the worst possible auto generated content, this project was cloned 1:1 for each service.

Feel free to test the service for yourself and if it doesn’t perform I’m sure the OHI team will be happy to provide you a full refund.

What would be even better is for you to repeat the test and publish the results yourself, if you can find the time of course.

I hope you enjoy reading my other posts :)

P.s. Please feel free to post anything you want about the blog on forums. Not only does this deliver more traffic it allows me to grow and learn further improving the blog, take a look at for example!

Please please invest your time posting on as many IM forums as you can!

Actually I do know how commenting works on WP. I admit I jumped the gun on that one, so you have my apologies. No excuses, I fucked up. :)

Back to the test though. Here’s the kicker, you provide ZERO proof of the test has even taken place. All we got to go on is your word. Which, at the end of the day, is worth fuck all. I know you take yourself very seriously, as do many people. But again, you provide zero proof.

As for posting on forums, you do realize I wouldn’t point the links to your blog, but to a site of mine, right? You don’t actually think you’re the only one who knows how to capitalize on the stupidity of people, do you? Be careful what you wish for. :)

I take it you missed the part where I pointed out that you provided fuck all for evidence. Sure, I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t read the article properly first time around.

I took a second (and a third and a fourth) look, just to make sure. So unless I’m blind and obviously missing something important, my point stands. That being said, my questions stand. Where’s the evidence, where are the backlinks? Did you even create any backlinks to begin with?

Show me the proof and I’ll have no problem eating humble pie, as I’ve already proven above. But unless you can do that, your case study isn’t worth wiping your ass with. Don’t even need to mention that you’d get kicked out of any related course, for using that “methodology”. But credit where credit is due, kudos for making so many morons believe you. :)

Ok well it is what it is, I can’t explain to you anymore than I have. Thank you for your feedback, opinion and contributing to the discussion.

When you conduct your own test to backup your assumptions & opinion please let me know and I will be happy to share it here!

Mkay, finally found the link. So unless I somehow got the wrong report, you consider a list of URL’s like this to be proof?

Again, my apologies if I got it wrong, but unless that’s not the report I should be looking at, I know you understand how ridiculous that proof is. After all, at the end of the day you’re no dummy. Full of shit, maybe, but definitely not stupid. :)

Please see my other comment, when you have your own data to backup your opinion please let me know. I won’t be approving any more wishy washy comments from yourself.

I’m more than happy to share your own data/case study with the audience when it is ready and you find time to do it. You could have probably done it in the time you spent making comments here :)

I figured you wouldn’t. After all, you obviously can’t take criticism which questions your “authority”, gained by posting utter crap and calling it a case study.

“I’m more than happy to share your own data/case study with the audience when it is ready and you find time to do it. You could have probably done it in the time you spent making comments here :)”

Actually, I could’ve done much worse, but we don’t need to get into that. At the end of the day you’re nothing but a hack, who relies on making money by appealing to the sheep, ’cause you actually know fuck all about SEO and couldn’t cut it. Anyway, approve it or not, your call. But as you said you wouldn’t I fully expect that to happen. After all, you don’t want your sheep to see me making you my bitch, on your own site. :D

Then please conduct your own test and show us how to do it correctly & we can learn from that constructively.

Even though Damagex is on the edgy side of accusations, he does bring up a crucial point for the study.

Similar services compared to OHI would definitely need to be included to not bias the testing; its common sense that OHI would take the cake vs services like lindexed or indexfication; the services are on a different levels.

The testing of indexing services was a great idea, but the services that are being compared doesn’t measure what the test was intended to measure; in terms of legitimate data, the Test Validity would only appeal @ face validity but fail in construct, criterion, and formative validity; in other words, those who don’t know better would jump in on OHI.

Anyways just my $0.02, I hope you have a good one MW

I don’t disagree he does make good points, however no one has provided a constructive solution as of yet.

How would you have gone about the test yourself? I have no problem with people saying what is wrong/what they don’t like – but I can’t improve and learn if that isn’t followed up with ‘what you should of done is…’

            Hi Matthew,

In short, OHI should be tested against similar services like instant link indexer and express indexer. The price ranges of these services are similar and the indexing rate is supposedly similar.

Wow, DamageX you’re a dick! If you don’t like the information here go find something else to do with your time! I can’t take you seriously or even give any credit to you when you think of yourself as such an “expert” but have an incredible amount of time to spend here writing nasty replies. If you were really that good I’m sure you’d be busy making money and working like crazy. Every strategy I’ve learned here and employed as worked well for me. Some of the tools Matthew prefers aren’t my favorite, but that has more to do with a difference in style than whether the tool performs as reported. The performance has never been an issue.

Don’t most sites get indexed by Google eventually anyway if you are creating links for them and submitting via Google Webmaster Tools?

        Hey Vince –

You can actually look up there at the case study results. The ‘control’ has 11% indexing after two weeks. This means that Google DOESN’T index 90% of your links naturally.

So this puts the nail in the coffin of ‘let Google find the links on its own’. It just doesn’t happen.
