Income Report Roundup – October 2014

Income report roundupOne of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.

So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.

If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!

If you feel inspired by this post – start a blog right now!

Here we go-

How to start a successful blog in 7 days

#1) PinchOfYum.com – $29,421.90 (-$3,225.75)

PinchOfYumAs usual the PinchOfYum team remain dominant even if they took a small hit this month.

They have been dealing with staying focused this month, it’s very easy to get distracted in the industry and focus is something I have trained over the years myself.

Interestingly they made over $7,000 this month with their tutorial showing people how to start a food blog!

#2) TrueValhalla.com – $25,987.00 (+$18,449.00)

TrueValhallaMatt had a huge 19k drop a few months back but this month bounces back in fashion!

The huge increase is thank to licensing his HTML5 games to a client, in particular he sold up the exclusive license for a game this month.

In just 1 month he developed the entire game, tidied up his other games and took a short break – dotcom baby!

#3) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $16,804.30 (-$2,431.80)

Matthew WoodwardI took a small hit last month mainly due to taking 2 weeks off.

I would like to say I learned my lesson but I actually took another week off at the start of this month so let’s see what that does to things!

However I do know that my income report tomorrow will shatter a goal I’ve been trying to beat for a long time, stay tuned :)

#4) MakingSenseofCents.com – $15,272.00 (+$1,116.00)

MakingSenseofCentsMichelle has had another record breaking month smashing through her $15,000 target.

She has worked hard to get it there and is starting to look at outsourcing some of the smaller tasks to free up her time for fun stuff!

Although she did manage to squeeze a couple of trips to Colorado and New Orleans on taking her business on the road.

#5) AuthorityWebsiteIncome.com – $14,056.00 (+$867.00)

AuthorityWebsiteIncomeIt looks like Jon is over his rough patch as he continues to grow this month.

He has had a very turbulent month but luckily the business systems he put in place for each face of his business held steady and kept things flowing.

The rest of the year he is strongly focused on sustaining what he has while pushing forward to accelerate growth.

#6) Moms-Make-Money.com – $12,458.30 (+$860.53)

MomsMakeMoneyAnother month and another income record for Deby as her online work flourishes.

Just like last month her record income earnings also came along with record traffic across her sites with 427,622 visitors.

What is impressive with Debys earnings is a solid chunk of that comes from the sale of her various sewing patterns – who would of thought!

#7) RatRaceGrad.com – $5,151.24 (+$1,230.68)

RatRaceGradJennifer quit her job 3 months ago and made more money than she should have at her job for 6 months.

As she settles into the dot com lifestyle she is starting to enjoy her freedom rather than worry about work & money.

It takes a lot of hard work to get to that point, but once you reach it life is bliss.

#8) MyTanFeet.com – $3,386.50 (+$771.81)

MyTanFeetYeison & Samantha’s efforts are paying off with a nice increase in profits.

Not only that but they are currently travelling Asia making their business truly mobile globe trotting their way to success.

They have a lot of hot irons in the fire right now but if you have too many hot irons, they all go cold.

#9) DigitalNomadWannabe.com – $1,420.00 (+$240.00)

digitalnomadSharon posted less this month which resulted in an increase in traffic and earnings.

It is strange when that happens and it has happened on this blog a few times and to other bloggers in these reports. If you just leave things alone for a month – they grow?

She is focused on building out her authority sites at the moment to create residual passive income while growing her SEO and link building knowledge.

#10) DumbPassiveIncome.com – $908.85 (-$883.95)

DumbPassiveIncomeMatt has had a crazy month at home and with work which shows this month.

Although his earnings are down the income was passive while his time and energy were focused elsewhere in his life – who doesn’t like free money right?

He has reviewed everything that has happened the past year and is currently thinking about how he can improve and evolve from what he has learned.

#11) My4HrWorkWeek.com – $530.80 (+$116.37)

My4HrWorkWeekEric’s income is 100% passive and see’s quite a nice increase this month.

It’s strange because last month he decided to spend less time online and focus on other areas of his life, like planning his wedding which is in 2 weeks. But as we continue to see, spend less time = make more money.

Take a look at Eric’s income sources and you will see just how diverse his online activity’s are.

#12) SelfMadeBusinessman.com – $401.00 (+$293.00)

smbDave is used to holding onto the #1 spot with his previous site but his new site is going from strength to strength.

His traffic and subscriber counts continue to grow seeing over 15k unique visitors this month while preparing new projects.

Dave is certainly going all out with his efforts online so watch this space as he continues to climb his way up the rankings.

#13) RankTactics.com – $229.25 (+$128.49)

ranktacticsRizvan has taken his blog from posting a monthly loss to profit recently.

This month see’s his best month yet more than doubling his previous months. As he continues to drive the blog forward only good things can happen!

Google is starting to show his site some love now after a few months of producing solid content, keep being consistent!

#14) LifestyleUltimatum.com – $110.00 (+$60.00)

lifestyleutmAndrea is a new entry to the roundup this month with his internet marketing blog.

He spent the past month making an awesome Lego gun while managing this blog, another blog and some clients.

The blog continues to grow steadily and he has planted a couple of interesting seeds that will start to bear fruit in the coming months.

#15) MyRecipeBook.co.uk – $3.85 (+$67.85)

myrecipeCharlotte is another newcomer to the roundup posting the first profit with her food blog.

She has started to increase her posting frequency throughout the month which led to a huge bump in traffic and pageviews.

While it is still early days for the blog you can see that she is actively learning and growing on all fronts – this is one to watch!

In Summary

It is awesome to introduce 2 new blogs to the income report roundup this month and I always like to watch people grow from their grass roots each month – good luck!

Last month the blogs featured earned a total of $129,903.54 setting a new collective record but that has dropped to $126,140.97 this month.

I still think we can break the $150,000 barrier though although with Christmas coming we might see some drops across the board!

My new income report will be published tomorrow and right now I have precisely no idea how much money I have made this month, all I do know is I broke through one of my long term goals! Stay tuned for that tomorrow.

If you feel inspired to follow in their foot steps then why don’t you start a blog today? It only takes a few minutes!

Get all of my income reports & round-ups direct to your inbox!

Performance Tracking

I only include the earnings history of the top 10 blogs each month to make the graphs easy to read.

Another inspiring post Matt! Whenever I feel beat down buy the all the bs and things that we cannot control in the industry I love to check out your blog for some inspiration.

Keep up the good work buddy!

I was wondering also what program you use for the custom graphs above?

Well just ignore the BS and stick with the simple approach of find out what people want and give it to them.

Graphs are done with Google Charts

Matt, do you know another one reason why inspirational posts are great?

Because they help generate great ideas even if you don’t go deep into details of the post.

It’s simply like this – emotions are charged up, and the ideas start coming in :)

Thats the power of inspiration :)

Thanks for the lovely summary Matt. I just hope I can live up to what you’ve written!!

Seeing myself very clearly stuck at the bottom is definitely a kick to try and grow things and get moving up the table.

Off to read all the other reports now and see what inspiration I can get.
