Income Report Roundup – July 2015

One of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.

So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.

If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!

Here we go-

#1) PinchOfYum.com – $32,971.75 (+$8,025.75)

PinchOfYumLindsay and Bjork are back to business this month after last month’s Q & A Session.

They’ve had an exciting time with the launch of their new Food Blogger Pro podcasts and have also launched a brand new course focusing on Instagram for food bloggers.

Not stopping there they also launched their first ever workshop too and remind us that it’s important not to get too carried away in business ideas, but to do things for the joy of doing it!

#2) MakingSenseOfCents.com – $23,471.00 (+$2,836.00)

MakingSenseofCentsMichelle has had another great month with it being the second highest month for income she’s had so far.

From this month onwards she’ll be including a Featured Question section in her income report where she will answer at least one question from her readers.

Her current goals include creating her own product, focusing more on promotion and a little personal development to benefit the growth of her business.

#3) AuthorityWebsiteIncome.com – $14,993.00 (+$6,629.00)

AuthorityWebsiteIncomeIt’s been a busy month for Jon in his day job again but now that he has that all wrapped up he’s had some time to appreciate the summer and begin to dedicate more time to his online business.

He says we should expect some overdue changes!

His primary goal over these weeks is to create a stand alone systemized services business so it will be interesting to see what he gets up to!

#4) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $14,985.93 (-$2,657.74)

Matthew WoodwardI was hoping for a more focused month to get back on top of things this month after my crazy travel schedule but it wasn’t to be!

After moving into a house that had no active internet connection when I was assured that there was, I’ve been waiting for a line to be installed while relying solely on mobile data using an old android phone as the Wifi Router!

It’s been challenging but all that aside I’ve made some tweaks around the blog to improve conversion rates and this month saw one of the best prize giveaways I have ever offered on the blog with the ninja set of SEO tools!

#5) CubicleHoudini.com – $10,560.00 (-$1,201.00)

cubiclehoudini Quinton describes June as a real “nose-to-the-grindstone” month.

After adding 50 articles to one site and 240 products to another he hopes they may well double their income if they can get the sites ranking.

With new systems in place they’re hoping to be able to launch a new site approximately every 6 weeks, which based on his calculations could mean enormous profits!

Keeping up with new learning he’s also enrolled in a coaching program on monetizing paid traffic. He’s set aside some time in July to complete the course and is focusing on maximizing family time now that he has a comfortable income.

#6) Untemplater.com – $5,299.00 (+$1,238.00)

untemplater New to the lineup this month Sydney is primarily a freelancer who left her desk job earlier this year.

Her goals include hitting 40,000 pageviews a month, landing more freelance work and building more affiliate income.

The site’s income was up from last month but still lower than usual which Sydney puts down to a seasonal decline and a drop in freelancing jobs.

She admits she could have been more proactive about getting work though and that while it’s great to enjoy your new found freedom working for yourself it’s important not to let things slow down too much and keep up the momentum!

#7) MyTanFeet.com – $5,231.64 (+$74.94)

MyTanFeet Yeison & Samantha have decided to move their blogging life reports due to the fact that they don’t appeal to the target audience at MyTanFeet.

In its new location you’ll find more technical information about what they have been up to in both English and Spanish.

They currently have a little more travelling in the pipeline before settling down in a new surf town in September where they plan to expand their network and go live with a dedicated travel page.

#8) NicheSiteAzon.com – $5,045.28 (+$1,824.72)

nichesiteazon1 Another new entry this month Mike has had one of his best months ever as it was only the second time he has passed the $4,000 barrier.

It was his best month ever as an Amazon affiliate whilst seeing a huge jump in revenue for one of his Niche Sites and he’s very excited about hitting over $5,000 in profit in a single month.

Although he doubts he’ll be able to do so consistently, his new goal going ahead is to hit $5,000 each month. Good luck!

#9) DigitalNomadWannabe.com – $4,601.00 (-$129.00)

digitalnomad Sharon has been hitting new heights once again this month, smashing her passive income record and stopping work on short term earners like reviews and freelancing.

This month they spent time in Finland, Malaysia, Sweden, Thailand, Latvia and Estonia and Sharon’s application to speak at a travel blogging conference has been approved for October!

She’s also started a new project recently which she couldn’t resist that she believes could one day become a truly passive income stream.

#10) TrueValhalla.com – $4,437.00 (-$1,105.00)

TrueValhalla This month went better than Matt expected due to a lot of small sales which totalled up to a good amount.

After the realization that he’s taking on more than he can handle he took some time off to reduce his excessive workload.

He’s decided to stop working on his major project full time and work on it only in spare time to enable the maintenance of his online business.

His new focus will be producing HTML5 games, with a goal of 50 games by the end of the year. This month he created one new game, published several others and also aims to finish the update to his book.

#11) FreeYouNow.com – $2,398.55 (-$107.65)

freeyounow A slight loss this month for Paul who is still managing to write a new post every single day, that’s 30 blog posts in June!

He had a huge increase in traffic in June due to one of his posts going viral, which skyrocketed his traffic for a while as it was shared around the internet.

His blogging income continues to grow at a slow but steady pace and he’s looking forward to seeing it grow at a faster rate as he begins to step up the gears with his mentoring program.

#12) MissBiziBee.com – $2,096.87 (+$821.57)

bizzi Despite having no traffic growth in June Kaitlin had an increase in revenue.

A 9% drop in traffic from her largest traffic source made a huge impact this month which her 10% increase in direct traffic could do nothing to counter.

She did however see a nice growth of more than 30% in organic traffic, and it’s from this that Kaitlin has realised that it’s important not to depend on only one traffic channel.

She’ll also be keeping a close eye on monthly buying trends in an attempt to better understand why this month saw lower Amazon earnings despite having more traffic.

#13) DumbPassiveIncome.com – $1,689.00 (+$1,101.03)

DumbPassiveIncome After being left home alone with extra time to hustle Matt has seen an increase in income and is excited to say that most of it is truly passive!

For the second month in a row he has had an increase in niche site income and plans to focus his efforts on his niche sites that rely on search engine traffic as these are his most passive sources of income.

He’s also pleased with a quality post he published this month which resulted in affiliate income and sales continuing to add up nearly a month after publish!

#14) OneHourProfessor.com – $1,498.28 (+$2,052.68)

ohp After last months loss Ron is excited to be reporting his highest earnings yet for the blog!

Although the majority of his income came from consulting work, some passive income streams came through too and he had his first affiliate sale!

The most important project for Ron this month has been his Authority Website Experiment which he spent all of his extra time working on.

His goals for next month revolve around getting his Authority Website Experiment underway and continuing to make a profit.

#15) PassionIntoPayChecks.com – $147.29 (+$565.20)

passiontopaychecks Josh is back in profit this month and is looking to use his new found free time to work on all of his different projects.

In June he was excited to have placed his first shipment order for his Amazon business and also held his first webinar about finding products to sell on Amazon.

Going forward he is hoping to post at least one new piece of content on the site each week whilst working towards his goal of earning $1000 per month from all of his niche sites combined within the next 3-4 months.

In Summary

This month brought two newbies into the line up while we’ve seen a few drop out as they have decided not to publish income reports for one reason or another.

That said the combined earnings this month has seen a big rise from $100,739.39 up to $129,425.59 – that’s an increase of nearly $20,000!

None of the guys reported losses this month and the majority are actually reporting an increase in income, even in areas that usually see a bit of a summer slump in sales at this time of year.

It’s been an interesting month and it’s absolutely fantastic to see some of those big investments and risks from last month beginning to pay off already!

If you feel inspired to start your own blog then why don’t you start a blog now? It only takes a few minutes!

Performance Tracking

I only include the earnings history of the top 10 blogs each month to make the graphs easy to read.

I’m having a problem with the graph right now and will update the post when fixed

    Hi Matthew,

I feel your pain buddy. What’s worse than a house with no active internet for an online entrepreneur?

It’s always a pleasure to see the income report for all these online entrepreneurs. This is one post, I never miss no matter how busy I am.

    Keep up the good work.

No approach before hand but I have a relationship with everyone featued here in one way or another, some live close to me, one changed a big part of my mindset, some have stayed in my house and others have shared some laughs in emails. But an email does go out to all those featured each month.

I think tomorrows income report could be the best the blog has ever seen, we’ll see tomorrow :)

That is great to know because this month I considered not doing them anymore!

  7. Untemplater

Thanks for adding me Matthew! I’m so excited to be one of the newbies in the roundup!! I am continually inspired seeing how well everyone is doing. So many exciting things happening and I love hearing about other people’s goals and experiences. I’ve definitely noticed that tracking my progress has really helped me to experiment more often and pay attention to things I used to overlook.

I was happily surprised by my spike in dividend income I had in June, but since that won’t be repeated in July I’m trying to make some extra freelancing income before the month is up. And I’ve also been putting more money into the markets lately during the dips to keep up with my goals to regularly invest and not sit on cash too long.

July isn’t quite over yet so hopefully one of my clients gives me the green light today on a couple assignments I pitched. I’m also waiting to get a proposal for some potential short-term consulting with one of my former employers so we’ll see what happens. Other than that I have some upcoming travel plans and I’m trying to stay hunkered down in savings mode and stay focused on projects.

    Great roundup!

This is a mind blowing report Matthew,
You guys are really killing it and I’m very happy for you. Its very obvious that whatever you’re doing is truly working very well for you.

Now, you keep on doing it and I’m sure your next months report will also be much more higher than this one.

More strength to your elbows Matthew.
