Income Report Roundup – February 2016

One of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.

So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.

If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!

Here we go-

#1) MakingSenseOfCents.com – $41,582.00 (+$4,190.00)

MakingSenseofCentsMichelle is celebrating her best month so far for the second month in a row this month as she passes the $40,000 mark!

She’s excited to reveal that this means her income has almost tripled since January last year.

She’s currently trying to decide whether Facebook ads are a good fit for her business as they can be pricey and Pinterest is still one of her top traffic sources.

Going forward her goals include; Promoting more, creating a book, taking part in more interviews, increasing affiliate income streams, creating a course, increasing pageviews to 1,000,000 per month and doubling her income!

#2) JustAGirlAndHerBlog.com – $29,542.00 (+$12,115.00)

JustAGirlAndHerBlogAbby is celebrating her best month so far on the blog and January saw the relaunch of her eBook ‘Simplify’.

As more than half of her income each month comes from blogging related sales she has decided to launch a dedicated business blog.

She feels that blogging posts aren’t a fit for her home decor site, but she has lots to share about the business of blogging.

This month she shares the importance of listening to your readers and giving them what they ask for, so that they get helpful content and you get a blog full of posts that are useful for others. It’s win win!

#3) AuthorityWebsiteIncome.com – $28,627.85 (-$2,897.96)

AuthorityWebsiteIncomeIn Jon’s first income report of the year he shares his new goals and direction for the year ahead.

He reflected that his work life balance this month was particularly challenging and that he had to sacrifice some sleeping hours in order to fit in his number 1 priority; spending time with family.

His key successes this month included unique opportunities for his Amazon FBA business, taking part in a couple of podcast interviews and an increase in conversion since his website redesign.

#4) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $24,298.27 (-$6,987.74)

Matthew WoodwardThis month saw me looking back at last year and planning for the year ahead.

I released the first update for my premium private blog network specialist training program and it’s great to see students progressing and achieving their first successes with it.

Income took a fairly heavy hit this month which could be because people are recovering from the festive season, combined with the fact that I’ve stepped off the gas while arranging my plans for the year ahead!

#5) TrueValhalla.com – $20,834.00 (+$17,848.00)

TrueValhallaMatt’s celebrating his best month ever this month as demand for HTML5 games went through the roof!

He found things exhausting but rewarding as January is usually one of his weakest months, and the demand for games left little time for him to work on his major project ‘Dragon Depths’.

One of his goals going forward is to travel anywhere in the world and still make a living. He now has two holidays booked for February to take a well earned break after a challenging month!

#6) HumanProofDesigns.com – $20,173.00 (+$3,959.00)

HumanProofDesignsNew to the lineup this month is Dom at Human Proof Designs reporting an increase on last month’s revenue.

In January he spent three weeks travelling around New Zealand which really tested his company’s ability to function in his absence. He also sold one website and acquired another.

He had mixed feelings about the business this month as he speculates it’s hard having to work every day while you’re on holiday, but at the same time he’s happy that he can now work from anywhere in the world!

#7) Untemplater.com – $14,265.00 (+$904.00)

untemplaterFor the third month in a row Sydney has seen her best month for earnings so far, despite being unexpectedly admitted into hospital for surgery!

Now that she is on the mend her goals for 2016 include investing at least $5,000 per month, growing her net worth by $75,000 and increasing traffic to Untemplater.

Her biggest lesson learned this month was to be happy and make the most of every day, she is also more mindful of her ability to work and plans not to take it for granted in the future.

#8) BrendanMace.com – $10,060.79 (+$3,269.99)

brendanmaceLast month’s newcomer Brendan is excited to report his best month so far this month!

January was their last month in Colombia and he was in transit at the airport at the time of writing this month’s report.

With his YouTube stats being far from his highest ever he digs into the cause of this month’s increase.

He concluded that trust leads to sales and that when you help someone they remember, which is why applications for his coaching program have soared in January!

#9) HuwsLab.com – $6,103.19 (+$1,599.67)

HuwHughesNew to the lineup this month is Huw Hughes celebrating his best month so far after re-building his business!

Since an attack on his site 6 months ago Huw has built everything back up from scratch after learning the hard way to keep everything properly backed up.

This month he tested working less on product promotions and more on unique bonuses and value which turned out to be a success! Going forward he is preparing for his own product launch next month.

#10) MissBiziBee.com – $2,457.67 (-$963.70)

bizziThis month Kaitlin left her Etsy business on vacation while she and Travis took off to Thailand for two weeks, which resulted in her lowest revenue for a while.

That said, she did manage to set some records while she was away! January saw a huge jump in both social, direct and organic traffic to the blog and she’s excited to see growth out of posts she wrote months ago.

She also had a record month for Amazon affiliate earnings and speculates that as traffic continues to increase, so should her Amazon revenue. After seeing the power of monetising her traffic Kaitlin is working harder than ever to find more time to write for the blog!

#11) OneHourProfessor.com – $669.21 (-$235.67)

ohpIt’s been a whirlwind of a month for Ron with lots of tasks at hand. He launched his first consulting website which didn’t go quite as he planned.

He also made a tutorial on how to redesign a site without code and began work on a second consulting website, all while still working on his authority website.

He’s feeling good about spending more time blogging again this month and has returned to blogging for passion rather than focusing on ranking for certain SEO terms.

#12) LivingOffCloud.com – $483.35 (-$58.72)

livingoffcloudNadya has had a controversial month in January with one of her sites generating a lower income than expected while the other actually had a much higher than expected revenue.

This month saw her hire and fire her very first VA. Her PBN building process has slowed while she was busy sorting out her VA but she did build some backlinks through blog commenting.

Going forward she’s anxious about two of the sites that she is building herself as growth is slow and neither has started to earn revenue, although she’s hoping that will improve with the help of her new VA!

#13) IncomeMesh.com – $401.65 (-$443.75)

incomemeshDrazen has had a slow start to the year with only one article published aside from his December income report.

This is largely because he spent most of his time in January working on the launch of his first Amazon affiliate niche site. He also planned to launch his second Amazon niche site in February.

With more plans to create an ecommerce site to be launched in March he has a serious amount of work ahead, but says that Income Mesh will stay updated in the meantime.

#14) PassiveIncomeWise.com – $228.33 (+$66.80)

PassiveIncomeWiseNew to the roundup this month is Francisco from Passive Income Wise reporting his best month so far!

His income is generated by this site and one other niche site which he says is now working on auto pilot. He describes this niche as a gold mine and going forward hopes to triple his income there by the end of this year.

His goals for the month ahead include earning $300 from ad networks, creating 5-10 new posts and doubling traffic for Passive Income Wise. He predicts a hard month ahead with all of his online goals on top of finishing the second year of his PhD.

#15) MyPathToPassiveIncome.com – $57.36 (-$1,219.17)

mypathtopassiveincomeIt’s been a slow start to the new year for Esteban but despite that he still kept fairly busy and productive.

He spent the month working on his eBook, outreaching other bloggers and learning lots of new interesting things about affiliate marketing.

After receiving a lot of traffic in one day from Reddit he has decided it’s time to find out how to make real use of it as a traffic source.

Going forward he wants to continue with his remaining projects despite feeling a little disheartened at his drop in income. His other goals include increasing page sessions, getting a guest post sorted out, reaching 110 subscribers and earning $500 in profit.

My January was better than usual as well, it seems that this was mostly a trend this year :) It’s also pretty amazing to see how just 15 people managed to make almost $200,000 from blogging! It’s absolutely amazing and inspiring for anybody willing to give it a try.

That is great to hear Calin, hopefully that sets the tempo for the rest of the year :)

  9. Untemplater

Thanks for the mention! Yes, I am SO incredibly grateful and happy to be on the mend health wise. Wow it’s incredible how your life can turn completely upside down when your health is compromised.

“Thank goodness for health insurance” is one of blessings I keep repeating to myself lately as my hospital bills start to roll in. More on that in my next income report!

Great job everyone for continuing to hustle!

    Thanks, Sydney

        March 13th, 2016 at 1:56 am

yes, I live in San Francisco. It’s ridiculous that if you don’t have insurance in the States and get hospitalized you can literally go bankrupt from the costs.

    Hey Mathew,

Pardon me, if it seems offensive in any ways. I have been a huge fan of your income report posts, especially the round ups. In future, I may also set up something not exactly the same but on a similar plot on my blog as well.

However, before that, I have this question circling in my mind for quite a sometime lately. Is there any way you review the accuracy of the income reports generated by these fellow bloggers in the round up? Or you simply take their word for it..

P.S. I am not accusing anybody, its just a query and couldn’t help myself asking you about it. :)

No I just take their word for it :)
