Income Report Roundup – February 2014

Income report roundupOne of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.

So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.

If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!

Here we go-

#1) GodOfSEO.co – $21,143.00 (+$6,016.00)

GodOfSEOCharles has absolutely nailed it this month taking the top spot with an impressive month!

He has had an award, conference & interview filled month leveraging his existing content as much as possible.

Most of Charles earnings come from client work – would be nice to see him earn similar amounts from his affiliate efforts!

#2) PinchOfYum.com – $17,735.97 (+$1,162.09)

PinchOfYumAfter an absolutely amazing comeback last month to take the number 1 spot the Pinch Of Yum team have done it again!

They have seen some fantastic sales of their eBooks from affiliates and took advantage of the photography 5DayDeal.

Some great information tucked away in that income report that’s relevant for anyone in internet marketing!

#3) MakingSenseofCents.com – $12,640.00 (+$480.00)

MakingSenseofCentsMichelle is going full steam ahead since going full time managing to grow in a slow month.

She is worried that her earnings have plateaued this month even though she is working full time – that’s just how the cookie crumbles sometimes and February will be better :)

Most of her income comes from client work, direct advertising & blog management. If you’re going on holiday Michelle is the person to hire to look after things while you are away.

#4) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $9,868.25 (-$6,532.67)

Matthew WoodwardLast month saw my biggest month every after launching my product which has settled down again this month.

I spent the first week of the month at Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas & didn’t publish all that many posts.

I’m fully focused on building out my new course which will be like nothing you have ever seen before! Hopefully income doesn’t take too much of a hit while I’m working on that.

#5) Moms-Make-Money.com – $5,258.90 (+$1,244.76)

MomsMakeMoneyDeby suffered a decent drop in earnings last month but has come back to post a record month this time around!

This time last year her blog only earned $89.28 – just look at what is possible in a year! Congratulations!

If you run a Blogger blog and want to move it over to WordPress you should check out her course!

#6) TrueValhalla.com – $3,733.00 (-$10,971.00)

TrueValhallaMatt had a fantastic month last month but has seen a huge drop off this month.

He had a slow start to the year as he was relaxing on holiday thinking about the year ahead.

With his new found direction he spent most of the month putting the building blocks in place for his exciting plans!

#7) RatRaceGrad.com – $2,704.77 (+$538.65)

RatRaceGradJennifer has had a fantastic start to the year with a steady increase in profits this month.

Most of her income is coming from affiliate sales & she is doing some interesting stuff with Facebook ads.

Good luck with everything this year, let’s see you work your way up the income report rankings!

#8) MyTanFeet.com – $1,473.92 (-$434.63)

MyTanFeetYeison & Samantha continue to grow their travel blog but posted a slight drop in earnings this month.

What you don’t see in the earnings though is all of the free trips and first class accommodation they are getting for free, they even bagged lessons with a pro surfer!

As they establish the travel blog people are looking to them for travel blogging advice, which is all the inspiration needed to create a new venture this month!

#9) DumbPassiveIncome.com – $1,407.68 (+$584.83)

DumbPassiveIncomeMatt was a newcomer last month and has jumped up the rankings this month!

Most of his sales come from his custom keyword research packages along with a nice mix of affiliate income.

Last month was a record breaking month for Matt, and this month is another record breaker! Kudos!

#10) MakeMoneyLessons.com – $1,034.97 (+$7.30)

MakeMoneyLessonsDean has had a turbulent time recently but has managed to level things off.

He hasn’t had much time for the blog recently due to a new music based project in London.

His income reports are generally lacking in information so I can’t tell you much more than that!

#11 My4HrWorkWeek.com – $348.54 (+$57.47)

My4HrWorkWeekEric makes most of his money from a range of 100% passive income streams and posts a small increase this month.

He has spent most of his time recently working on a new venture that is now in full swing.

It will take a while to build up the audience, but he is on a solid path to success!

In Summary

Last month we added 3 new blogs to the round up, but this month we have lost 4 including 2 of our heaviest hitters!

The AcoupleTravelers team & LostCyclist have decided not to publish any more income reports for various reasons.

MakeMoneyOnlineHQ didn’t publish in time & the 87Studios team are hiding most of their stats.

Last month the blogs earned a combined total of $106,218.18 which steamed through the $90,000 target.

This month however we have lost some of our biggest earners which sees the combined total drop to $77,349.00!

Even though there has been such a huge drop – that is still no small number!

Congratulations to Charles For taking the top spot this month!

Hopefully we can bring back the group earnings to the $90,000 level next month!

Performance Tracking

I only include the earnings history of the top 10 blogs each month to make the graphs easy to read.

Charles really did a great job this month. And Matt, why TrueValhalla.com is on 6th spot? I think that blog should be 3rd.

    Hi Matthew,
C’mon catch up these guys and gals! :)

Is your goal to hit number 1 in your list or a certain amount of $ ?

      February 27th, 2014 at 6:22 pm

I’m just having fun doing what I enjoy! Most of my earnings are affiliate based which means if I take a month off, earnings remain level. If Charles took a month off though ^^

        Absolutely, Matthew!
Doing what you enjoy is a great way to live if it lets you pay your bills. It’s awesome.

  7. Munir Nathoo

I can see you are consistent on or about the $10,000 mark. And thats only from affiliate sales. If you were to diversify and concentrate on consulting like the Godofseo.com then your income will probably also shoot through the roof!

But like you said above… you enjoy what you are doing and also creating the new course must be taking up a bulk of your time.

Really looking forward to this new course! Cheers and well done to all above!

There are things I could do to boost the income but I’m more worried about building something awesome :)

I used to have a lot of clients but I stopped taking new ones on a long time ago because it was eating up to much time, I can’t do anything by halves which is my problem and blessing lol

  8. Matt B.

    Great stuff Matthew!

Hope to be up there myself some day, but what a 2014 it has been for me.

D*** hard drive crashed and then my entire laptop died…grrr

Can’t wait to pick up my new Macbook Pro next week…almost as exciting as your upcoming course. ;)

    Is that Optimizepress?

  9. Walt @ Found Success

Sweet month. Really watching this every month is just extremely motivating to move my b***.

      March 3rd, 2014 at 9:07 am

Undecided yet. I want it to be free, the problem with giving people things for free though is they dont value them and won’t take action.

      • Garratt
        March 23rd, 2014 at 10:11 am

People don’t take action when they pay for it either dude. Just flip a coin IMO.

Most of your fans will probably buy it if you charge for it. But you will increase loyalty if you give it away for free. So just depends which you want more. $20,000 or $20,000 worth of loyalty.

        • Matthew Woodward
          March 24th, 2014 at 7:08 am

Yes that is true for $7-$97 WSO’s, but if I price this it’s going to be at the $497-$997 mark.

          • Garratt
            March 24th, 2014 at 10:08 pm

In that case around 0.1% of you fans will be able to afford it. Not saying that it isn’t worth that price. However I have noticed a lot of 2nd and 3rd world comments on here as well as westerners.

But at least around 50% of those 0.1% WILL take action :P

          • Matthew Woodward
            March 25th, 2014 at 8:10 am

That is possible, althoguh I don’t think its that much to invest in your future.

Once the final course is finished I’ll look at where it fits in the market :)

          • Gcampton
            March 25th, 2014 at 10:54 am

Of course that depends on where you live, which was kinda my point. I haven’t seen your Google analytics charts so of course I’m only guessing. But it seemed to me that comments are a little minority based.

For example my content writer costs me $250 a month (full time work) and those wages are awesome for her, she can look after her family and raise her kids and afford all the nice things in life. Plus her English is perfect.

That seems cruel almost, I know… but it’s not. She’s great and I reward her for it, relative to her country, not western standards though.

She does buy and read a lot from what I can tell. Just saying…

            March 28th, 2014 at 11:03 pm

Yeah that’s a lot different to what I was imagining. And holy bounce rate batman.

          • Matthew Woodward
            March 28th, 2014 at 11:40 pm

Haha actually that’s pretty poor compared to how it has been – if you look at the income reports the past 4-5 months you’ll see it averages out at 3%.

Pushing Facebook traffic to a landing page on the blog is doing it bad though :(

  12. Fammie

I love being here, when I see posts like this am really excited as I know alot of bloggers are earning and I will soo n start earning greatly too…….Congrats Charles and welldone

A good one for Charles and his team at G** of SEO! At least, they are top spot in this month’s round up.

Thanks Mathew for sharing another thought-provoking income report roundup. I want to checkout each of these websites to get more details of what they did right or wrong!

  14. Matthew Allen

Hey Matt – I had no idea this list existed until today! I looked at my analytics via my phone and noticed a ton of referral traffic coming from your site. I had to investigate. Thanks for including me man! Now I feel like I have competition and something to shoot for. I love it!

I know that some of you guys and gals at the top do this stuff full time. As a caveat, I would like to point out I still work 50ish hours per week at my day job and spend just a couple of hours each morning working on my Internet side hustle.

Now I can’t wait to see how I stack up in next months Roundup.
