How To Make Money On Fiverr – Make Your First $1 Online TODAY

I am going to show you how to make money on Fiverr step by step. If you didn’t know, Fiverr is a marketplace where anyone can sign up and sell services for $5 and

That can be anything from logo design, transcript, video creation, backlinks, social signals and so on. You can even get a video of your name in shells on the beach or hold your sign while skydiving.

If you have a browse through the available Fiverr gigs you will see how varied they are – there really is a gig for everyone!

The best bit is anyone can learn how to make money online by signuping to Fiverr as a seller and starting selling their service.

This is exactly what Eze John did earning $1,644 in 30 days and you are about to learn the exact process he used to make money on Fiverr.

What You Will Learn

  • The exact steps used to generate $1,644 in 30 days
  • What to sell on Fiverr

If you are looking for a way to get started online – it really doesn’t get any easier than this. Even I’m admiring its simplicity.

Credit to Eze John for revealing all of this, he could have easily packaged up what your about to learn as an eBook and sold it.

Instead he chose to teach you how to make money on Fiverr free of charge, so hat’s off to him for doing that.

Introducing Eze John

Eze John is 20 years old from Nigeria. He is always looking for new ways to make money online and struck success with Fiverr.

He is going to share precisely how he made $1,644 in 30 days with his gig so you can do the same!

What Is Fiverr?

Fiverr is the leading marketplace for services starting at just $5. Lots of people buy and sell services (and also products) everyday through Fiverr.

The available services range from business promotion, social networking and advertisement to funny videos, graphic design and translations to mention just a few.

These offered services are called “GIGS” on Fiverr. You can find almost anything you need. People from all over the world visit the site to offer their services and expertise.

My Fiverr Earnings

Before I get into things let me show you proof of my earnings from my Fiverr account which is less than 40 days old.

As you can see it shows a total of $1,644 earned but has since gone on to earn nearly $2,000. I did all of this using a piece of software I bought for just $67.

How To Make Money On Fiverr

So how did I manage to make that much money with Fiverr? Well first of all I spent time looking at what other people are having success with.

At the same time I spotted an awesome product that helped me create animated videos really quickly.

So the idea for my gig was born – I’m going to create a video animation service offering things like whiteboard videos, 3D animation videos, hand drawn videos etc.

how to make money on fiverr

There is no big secret here – I just looked at what other people sold and what I could make quickly and created some relevant gigs.

You could say that preparation met opportunity perfectly!

Sample Videos

Here are some samples of the videos I was selling to give you a better idea-

Whiteboard Video

Animated Character Video

Pretty cool videos right?

What a lot of people don’t realise is just how high the demand is for videos like this and they are super easy to make!

You can just create a gig for these kind of videos today on Fiverr and start getting orders the same day – they are hugely popular!

As you can see the orders come flooding in!

How To Make Money With Fiverr Videos

You might be wondering how exactly I’m creating the videos and you’ll be glad to know it is really simple.

Not long ago a WSO appeared for Video Maker FX which is a simple piece of software to create animated videos. I paid $67 for it at the time.

You can read my full review here.

The software makes it really easy and quick to make all kinds of different videos for all kinds of business in no time at all.

How To Earn Money On Fiverr – The Step By Step Process

So now I’ve shown you what I do and what I use to do it, now all you need to is how to make money on Fiverr yourself.

Just follow the steps below and you will learn how to make money on Fiverr easily-

Step 1 – Practice

First of all I bought Video Maker FX and spent time practising making videos of all different types with it.

It took me a couple of weeks of playing but I soon got the hang of being able to make videos quickly.

Step 2 – Create Fiverr Gig

Once I knew I could produce awesome videos I created my Fiverr Gig.

I kept the title short and simple – “I will Create a Professional Whiteboard Animation Video In 24hours for $5.”

Here are some other titles I have used that did well-

  • I will create an AMAZING Whiteboard Animation Video For $5
  • I will create a PROFESSIONAL Whiteboard Doodle Video For $5
  • I will create an Eye CATCHY Animation Video For $5

Feel free to play around – you get the idea!

Step 3 – Creating Your Gig Image

If you do a search for similar gigs you will notice some of them have better images than others that really stand out.

Do some searches and take some inspiration from the gig images that really stand out to you.

Once you have done that you can use to create your Fiverr gig image, if you really want to stand out you can also hire someone on Fiverr to do it!

Step 4 – Writing Your Gigs Description

Your description is also a very important part to your gig that you need to get right.

Just like with the images I also search around Fiverr and look at what the other top sellers are doing and use their descriptions as inspiration.

Whatever you do, don’t copy their descriptions or your will get banned. Just use them as inspiration and come up with your own unique description.

Step 5 – Tags/Keywords

One of the most important parts of your gig is setting up the tags and keywords.

A lot of people don’t realise this but having your gig tagged correctly is very important to the ranking of your gig in Fiverrs search results.

Take a look at the picture above and you will see the tags I used and also set your gig delivery duration to “1 DAY”.

Step 6 – Video-fying Your Gig

You also have the option of adding a video to your gig to make it stand out. Again this helps to boost rankings and sales so pay attention.

I just used Video Maker FX to make a catchy video for my gig, it doesn’t need to be anything special but shows off the service as well.

The Secret Sauce – Ranking Your Fiverr Gigs

Once you have everything setup and your Fiverr gig is live you need to apply the secret sauce to get the gig ranking and sales flowing in.

This has been my secret for about 6 months that I have only shared with a few of my friends. I can rank any gig #1 for any keyword on Fiverr in less than 48 hours for any search term like “video animation”, “usa traffic” and so on.

Here is how I do it-

NOTE: You must have completed the previous steps for this to work.

Step 1 – Dummy Account

Create a dummy Fiverr Account and buy your gig twice. Then give your gig a nice positive review (You will only loose $2 when you do this).

Step 2 – Fake Visitors

Now just sends at least 250 fake hits/visitors to your Fiverr gig. This will boost your gigs impressions and make it more visible to cash at hand buyers.

If you don’t know how to get fake visitors, well you can just buy them from Fiverr but don’t go overboard with them.

Step 3 – Accurate Tags

Make sure you use accurate tags for your gigs and also include the keywords you want to rank for in the title and description.

If you are going to do a gig like the one I’ve shown you above you would use tags like-

  1. Video animation
  2. Whiteboard
  3. Whiteboard animation
  4. 3D animation

Promoting Your Fiverr Gig

Well truth be told I do not do anything to promote my gigs outside of Fiverr. All I do is what I have shared with you in this tutorial.

There are over 1 million buyers on Fiverr so once I have ranked my gigs I do not need to promote them because I already have massive exposure to cash at hand buyers.

So now you understand how to make money on Fiverr – what are you waiting for? Go and make your first dollar online right now!

If you have any questions about how to make money with Fiverr then please feel free to ask them in the comments below and I will answer them for you.

I haven’t even LOOKED at Fiverr in so long, I forgot you can make some decent coin on there! Congrats for hauling in that kind of cash in that timeframe.

Previously I have used Fiverr to sell some short SEO strategies/eBooks and collect leads for my email list, but that was years ago. It’s nice to see Fiverr is still profitable :)

I’ve recently found a neat way to do some keyword research relatively fast, I think I’m going to sell it over Fiverr now for some Xmas spending money haha! Thanks Eze… oh, and Matt, as always you know how to turn-on my inbox!

I got to know John few weeks ago. He is a great guy. He is making a killing on fiverr.

He is one of my regular blog visitors. One day i followed his comment to his blog url.

I added him on facebook, while we chatted on facebook, he gave me one of the secrets shared in this article.

I set up my animation gig, i went to the town. When i came back an hour later, BOOM – i found a new gig on 2 hours old account on fiverr.

Matt, thanks for bringing him over here.

  4. 11.11.2014

The secret sauce is really grey hat ;)

I guess if you keep investing a part of your revenue into fake reviews and views you might become a champion on fiverr ;)

I’ve been wondering for a while if there is a line between ethical and non-ethical stuff in business.

When it goes about link building, SEOs are fighting against Google who changes its rules being a monopolist. So SEOs kind of have a moral right to adjust and use different tactics and tricks.

But when it goes about fake reviews, it is kind of things that might be a salty thing to speak about aloud if your are not in a private or a black hat world marketing room.

    No preaching, just thinking… ))

    • November 12th, 2014 at 12:41 am

Search engines are search engines, whether its Google, eBay or Fiverr they can be optimised for!

      • November 12th, 2014 at 10:38 am

well yeah, from a technical point of view it’s fine )

      November 12th, 2014 at 8:17 am

I have to admit that I had these thoughts previously as well. But now I turned more into “this is reality and that’s what’s showing me success”. If it is blackhat, I’ll do it. This is business and not a friendly game (just my 0.02)

      • November 12th, 2014 at 4:44 pm

I agree that reality dictates people’s behavior in many ways.
However, there are still some ethical and moral arguments that matter.

It can be a long discussion, but putting preaching aside, let me point out two business pragmatic points about being ethical and moral:

        1. Speaking Seth Godin’s words, your lie (or black hat actions) should be consistent if you still want to look kind of good and ethical (and we still want to look like that, don’t we?).

If you don’t look good, your business can be likely destroyed.

        2. There is a philosophical law, so called The Law of Attraction: Like Attracts Like.
So it’s your choice in what circle to live and work – being surrounded by liars and immoral hackers who will steal you passwords from your laptop once you go to the bathroom, or a circle of friends who will support you once you get into a trouble once you get some problems.

        You choose :)

        • November 13th, 2014 at 7:57 am

          Hey Michael,

first of all I really want to express that I really (and that I mean honestly) like the gentle and friendly way you discuss those controverse topics.

Besides the fact that I do not like Seth Godin so much (just my personal opinion) I have to admit that this “fight for rankings” is – from my point of view – forced upon us. In Germany – where I live – we have a proverb “the fish smells from the head” meaning it is Google who preaches one thing and does another.

Often times I think, Google’s intentions are mistaken: They say their most important task is to satisfy “searchers”. I personally think their most important task is to sell ads on their virtual real estate. If I apply this behaviour to my actions, I have to say I find it completely ethical (from my point of view) to fight this fight with Google in a way it is forced upon me.

Again, just my personal view and not meant to offend you…

          • November 19th, 2014 at 5:29 pm

Google is a business. Businesses make money. Google does not make money by giving it’s traffic away for free.

          • November 26th, 2014 at 2:15 pm

I’d like to say thank you for outlining your position. I agree with everything you said.

And here’s just one more point for consideration – you do business with people, not only with Google. If it were only Google, I’d do all the black hat stuff anyone can imagine.

But when it regards people and human relationship, it’s not like fighting with corporation. I know, sometimes it’s hard to tell where fighting with corporation ends and where relationship with people start, but it’s the margin what everyone decide on their own.

Again, thank you for your opinion, I really enjoy talking with you!

I personally think that the key to be successful is not to make another VideoFX gig but look for something that is a) doable in a time frame you mentioned (like 10-20 minutes) and b) is requested from the people out there. One thing one could do to determine what services are requested is have a look at the general subforums of WF, BHW etc. to see, what are the questions people have and if you can solve it. The next step should be to determine the gig extras as far as I can see. Although I promised myself to 1st rank some aff sites (offtopic) and make some money this Fiverr approach to make some quick wins is quite tempting right now… Got my brain juices flowing *lol*

      • November 12th, 2014 at 3:12 pm

How about a combined backlink report from multiple sources?

    • January 24th, 2015 at 12:42 am

You mention the importance of integrity when interacting with customers. The man is evidently delivering good work that satisfies their needs – that requires effort and accountability. The rank-boosting techniques he describes here would be rendered ineffective if he wasn’t doing good business with the people that hire him.

Thats crazy I have been doing the same with videomaker fx and videoscribe.
Not sure if it matters but I set up accounts with different proxies and use a software to inflate view count.

Having a video and orders in que make it easy to dominate fiverr

Fantastic article! Thanks guys. I’ve never commented before but this one actually hit some spot for me!
I’ve wanted to use Fiverr for some time now to offer my skills but somehow I couldn’t force myself to do it. I guess that’s the sign!
    Thanks a lot :)

  8. 11.11.2014

    Great post,

    But I have a question.
How much time you spend to make all of these orders? Just want to see how much possible to earn per hour if you really know the application (VideoMakerFX)

    Thank you

    • November 12th, 2014 at 1:11 am

      I charge $5 for a 30sec video
      $10 for a 60sec video.
And that takes me atleast 10-20minutes to complete each because Video Maker Fx already has inbuilt Pre made templates you can edit to your taste.

Nice article! That was a refreshing read. You know I am embarrassed to say that as soon as I read “from Nigeria” I immediately thought, just for a second.. “hmmm… has Matt finally lost the plot and turned to the bad bad side?”… The stigma associated between the online fraudsters and the country of Nigeria is real aint it? Man that is sad. Of course a second later my better judgement told me … “Na.. what a messed up thought”, so I started reading and glad I did.

Well done Eze John. That was a brilliant piece of writing, so simply put and helpful. Sounds like a lot of work but also sounds like a true humdinger of a strategy, implemented will almost certainly make you money.

I don’t know why you want to make it harder for yourself though. I am pretty certain Matthew’s readers are pretty savvy when it comes to stuff like this. You just might find your gig will be getting some stiff competition pretty soon dude.

But kudos to you, I bet you are making more money than those criminals who who rip off old ladies in 419 land and you can feel good about what you do too, they sure can’t.

    • November 12th, 2014 at 12:39 am

I’m black and I have to admit when I read ‘from Nigeria’ I also had the same ignorant thoughts. Glad I read all the way through.

Matt, It would be interesting if you rounded up some IM from across the world to show us how people from all over the world are making money online.

      • November 19th, 2014 at 5:19 pm

Location and making money online are entirely irrelevant

        • July 16th, 2015 at 9:06 am

G** bless your soul, Matt. I agree with you completely.

  13. 11.11.2014

Great article Matt, but I don’t see the ROI in Fiverr. Maybe if someone was starting out then this would be a great way to start making some money.

    • November 12th, 2014 at 12:38 am

Yeah it’s a lot of work but easy to build a business using them as a primary traffic source

  14. 11.11.2014

    Great content.

I find Fiverr has a very low rate of return. I mean if your writing content for customers and offer something around 500-600 words, it can be very hard to actually make money. They take $1 fee from sellers and you end up making $4 from your order. Not to mention the 2 week holding period before you can transfer money into your account.

If you receive 6-7 orders, you’ve made $30 (-$1 fee) and writing 3200 words a day which can be tough. You have a deadline and if your late, it hurts your rankings.

If you have a gig which can be automated, you can make some serious money. The key is to find a way to get huge orders and offer something that can be automated so the work is less and turn around is quick.

    • November 12th, 2014 at 12:38 am

That is true, find something you can knock out in a few minutes and the turnover can be great, especially if you offer upgrades as well!

      • November 12th, 2014 at 12:40 am

        Thanks again Matthew!

FYI: Sent you an email…did you get it?

        • November 12th, 2014 at 3:33 pm

As far as I’m aware any emails have been replied to?

    • November 24th, 2014 at 6:06 am

Yes, but once you build a reputation yo can charge more for your gigs. Way more than 5 dollars.

    • November 24th, 2014 at 6:31 am

Instead of creating a dummy account, you cold also just ask a couple friends to buy from you and refund them the 10 dollars. The only reason I’m worried about this, is that there may be a tonne of people randomly creating video gigs after this post haha.

Also, I write content, but I’m scared to write content on fiverr because of the low pay. unless l’m gonna write like 50 word paragraphs.

  15. 11.11.2014

No offence meant, but I honestly think this post is no where near in the same league as most of your other posts Matthew, I understand this is a guest post but I always thought you were very strict as to what you allowed to be posted.

I’ve been selling on Fiverr since January and turn over more than this guy ‘claims’ per month and there is a lot more to it if you want to be successful of Fiverr.

I would actually call his bluff on this, I don’t believe he’s done this in 30 days at all, one thing that shouts out BS is that his upcoming earnings is only $64, but then his screenshot shows 24 orders in his queue even if he sold this one gig with no extras than it’s $96. And let’s just say they were taken at different times, it’s still only $64 upcoming… For me to hit 2k per month I have at least $300 in upcoming earnings at any one time.

And I can’t believe, that he has not touched on gig extras – it’s the extras that make you the money on Fiverr!! This guy isn’t a seller.

If he had a link to his Fiverr profile it might be believable, at least then we could see his deliveries per day.

    • November 12th, 2014 at 12:37 am

I am tight on the posts and he didn’t request this, I got in touch with him to write this.

This blog is about affiliate marketing, SEO and straight down the line advice to make money online. This hits the nail and is easy for anyone to follow!

I will let Eze answer your other concerns

    • November 12th, 2014 at 1:02 am

      Hey Ricky,
i don’t need you to believe my claims. A lot of people earn more than i do on Fiverr.
Because you didn’t made much on Fiverr when you started doesn’t mean that others are not making it.
BTW Most of my sales come from the gig extras.
And also i made this post a bit short and simple i also know that there are some areas i didnt touch

      • November 12th, 2014 at 9:54 pm

        Hey Eze,

It’s not really about believing the claims, I really don’t care if it’s true or not I just came over to checkout Matthews blog like I usually do and was disappointed by this post so thought I would explain why.

Sure it’s possible to make that in your first month, in my first month I didn’t quite hit what you ‘did’ but it was still a lot – what I was getting at was the discrepancies in your claims, like the screenshots – the maths doesn’t add up. And having only $64 in your upcoming earnings would never make 2k per month.

Would you share your profile link? It’s not like sharing your profile links is going to blow any secrets is it since you’ve just told us exactly what you have done?

Also you say the gig extras is where you make most of your money, but again your upcoming earnings are only $64. And the part of the process that makes you the most money was never mentioned in the article…

Matt, I’m not trying to start a war on your comments section I promise ;P

        • November 12th, 2014 at 9:57 pm

Or if you’re not willing to share your profile, how about adding another screenshot with the dates still on the screen shot of your emails confirming new orders which were conveniently cut off?

OR how about a screenshot of your Analytics page where at the top it says ‘earnings this month’?

          • November 15th, 2014 at 9:47 pm

            Hey Ricky,
I guess you are 100% new to Fiverr and won’t understand how the Fiverr revenue stuff works.
That screenshot you see there on Matt’s blog is old proof.
That was my first result in a month when i first started selling 3D Animation Videos on Fiverr.

BTW you are really starting a war!

          • November 19th, 2014 at 5:18 pm

Then provide the current screenshot and end the war

  16. 11.11.2014

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the great post, I wish you a lot of success.

Hey Matthew you are always providing great ideas so until next time.

    Have a nice day.

  17. 11.12.2014

We just added a gig on there yesterday! Trying some of Kottons methods!

Congrats to the original author also-I wonder if he pushed his profile even more, could he collect even more sales perhaps?

I think the trick is to be able to collect the buyers email, and then try further upsells in the future-now that would be awesome..

Perhaps visit their site who you made a video for, check out their new content and then preemptively make a video for them-and then give it to them

I bet it would turn into a video for each piece of content that have written etc..

    • November 12th, 2014 at 12:36 am

Yeah for sure grabbing their email for remarketing and upsells is the way to go!

  18. 11.12.2014

What awesome timing! Today I hit the $100 total revenue mark on Fiverr and I decided I wanted to comitt to taking the next step.

Then I saw this in my Facebook feed and had to take a look. Congrats Eze for your success and thanks for the great tips. I knew I needed videos to spice up my gigs and now I know who to buy them from :)

Great tip on sending traffic to the gigs to make them more visible. I have a pretty good idea on how to do this.

Thanks Matt for the fantastic guest post!

  19. crockservice

to be honest there is no way you can rank a gig on fiverr!

it is non constant and the algo is purely vague

the guy here should post his profile link in order for proof so we can all see

i would not advise to go with fake views, personally i have seen many gigs coming up in high rating and then dispersing tomorrow reason is fiverr catches them doing fraudulent stuff

fiverr is all about luck if you land visible then perfect if no then you are no where to be found then you wont make bucks

    • November 12th, 2014 at 3:17 pm

An algorithm is an algorithm and as long as it exists we can optimize for it.

    • November 12th, 2014 at 3:53 pm

i don’t need you to believe my claims. Its 100% possible to rank gigs on Fiverr i’ve done that a lot.
Another thing is i would never show my Fiverr profile because i don’t need people spying on me

  20. 11.12.2014

Cool post. Fivver is an ebb and flow kind of business model. You have to accept the fact that you’ll be super busy at times and sometimes it’ll be slow. It’s really not much different from any other method of making money online.

    Thanks for sharing, Matthew.

    Best wishes to you, Eze.

    • November 12th, 2014 at 3:16 pm

      Business is business :)

      • November 14th, 2014 at 12:08 am

Business is business for sure just like ethical is ethical and unethical is unethical. How one plays the game is just as important as the game itself.

  21. 11.12.2014

Awesome work, as per usual! I love Fiverr for buying back an hour or so of my time for $5 or $10. I’ve never thought about offering services on there though. You’d need to make sure the process was totally streamlined or completely automated to justify doing anything for $5!

  22. 11.12.2014

Its great to have John’s post here. He’s so unique and creative and would always want to share his success stories on Fiverr for free. I would recommend this post and John to anyone. Great work John. This is such a fantastic Post. :)

  23. 11.12.2014

    Hey Matt and Eze

Can you elaborate a little more on Setp2 – Fake Visitors?
How important is it to send some fake traffic, and how can you go about it yuorself?

    • November 12th, 2014 at 3:11 pm

That helps you to game the Fiverr algorithm – buying fake visitors is easy to do!

  24. Dionisis Karampinis

    Hello Matt, Eze, mates!

I have joined Fiverr about a year ago as a buyer for my design needs and i am an active seller the last 4-5 months.

I would like to give some insight from my point of view.

What Eze claims doing here is 100% true and manageable if i can say. You can even push things further and make much more than that per month.

Currently there are many ‘businesses’ in Fiverr, delivering about 200-300 orders per day, easily making 15-20k per month if not more..

I have used this video making program, it is really neat and easy to provide enjoyable little videos in no time. Ready made templates, that look quite smart and catchy and synching music is dead easy too!

What i totally disagree with though is the following.

Far too many people have purchased it, they have all built same looking videos, there is no extra creativity added and it looks really ugly having cloned videos providing no real advertising value i think..

Videos do indeed increase conversion rates in Fiverr , but videos showing ourselves guys, explainning our service to the community, as humans love buying from other humans.

I do not hit VideoFX Maker in any way. This is a great piece of software and i recommend everyone to invest, but let’s not create an illusion that just by uploading such a video, numerous orders will start rolling.

Last but not least , Fiverr is 80% customer service , 20% your service.

Assuming you are top notch at whatever you do, SEO, Link building, Article writing, Social etc.. you need to be really patient and friendly with everyone’s queries. Customer service is not for everyone. You might be the best at what you do but dealing kindly with all buyers and creating a reputation, needs patience and i would say it is an art itself.

Thanks a lot Matt for giving us the chance to talk about this platform and Eze for motivating people to start making money today!

    Best Regards!

  25. 11.12.2014

About a month ago I put up a couple of gigs to see what could happen with Fiverr. Well, it’s been 30 days and no buyers. I’m sure I’m doing a lot of things wrong, but that’s why I like this post so much.

I’ve got Video Maker FX and think that I could do something similar. I’m gonna do what he suggests and first PRACTICE since I haven’t used it a lot. I’ve made a few videos, but none in the past few months.

I agree that they key to higher profits is good extras. I’ll look at a bunch of these types of gigs and put in a few that I can do that I think would sell well.

    Thanks guys!

    • November 12th, 2014 at 3:07 pm

It’s always about the upsells no matter what business you are in :)

  26. 11.12.2014

    Hey Eze,

A quick question. How long does it take you to make a video start to finish for a client? I’m trying to workout what this equates to in $/hour made.

  27. 11.12.2014

This is real, Eze is a true guy also know what he does, thank you so much for the great post

  28. Dionisis Karampinis

I do not recommend sending fake hits to your gigs in order to raise the impressions.

Fiverr checks for conversions. High view numbers with low orders is not a good sign to rank your gig higher.

But if you still want to do so, open up scrapebox, at comment poster, use ping mode, edit the referer and add your gigs url.

    • November 12th, 2014 at 8:51 pm

I think that’s why you make a couple of sales with only 250 hits

  29. 11.14.2014

One of another great tutorial by mathews, thanks a lot dude.

  30. 11.15.2014

This sounds a bit unethical and something people will try to do more than twice to make some money.

    Step 1 – Dummy Account

Create a dummy Fiverr Account and buy your gig twice. Then give your gig a nice positive review (You will only loose $2 when you do this).

    • November 19th, 2014 at 5:20 pm

Well if you side with ethics you can also side with watching your competitors take all your money

      • November 20th, 2014 at 9:17 am

Thank you so much for sharing all this many would have sold this at a price but you have offered us for free.

However I have a question can you please advise how you get the right keywords to targets for these gigs that is those that are being searched for at Fiverr.

Thank you so much I will be looking forward to getting something that will help me in those lines.

        • December 11th, 2014 at 10:24 am

Solomon, I think the best option would be to simply use the Fiverr search box to type in some seed keywords. From the search results you can then filter by ‘Recommended, High Rating or New’. Choose ‘Recommended’ and look through a few of these.

You’ll be able to see what tags they have used below their description, their titles and their content.

That’s what I tend to do and it seems to work quite well.

  31. John Victor

Hello Pls People Help Me Am New In Fiverr,i Dnt Know The Best And Easy Gigs To Put Up, Also AnyBody That Can Send Me D Videofx Maker

    • November 19th, 2014 at 5:14 pm

You are never going to have success online with that attitude.

      1) Your not willing to invest time in your own business to do your own research on what sells well/trying things

      2) Your not willing to invest money in tools to help you grow your business

Either change your attitude or quit

      • November 20th, 2014 at 10:41 pm

Exactly what i told him on Facebook when he messaged him that.
        Thanks Matt

  32. 11.17.2014

Very interesting way to make money from Fiverr. I do use Fiverr but don’t make much from it. Great tips here.

  33. mahesh

Does driving fake traffic help in increasing the ranking of the gig? My gig is good but ranking is bad. Other people with same gig get 10 orders daily whereas i get 0

    • December 30th, 2014 at 2:15 pm

The problem should be from your gig image and description.

  34. 11.23.2014

Does anyone have a good source for views beside fiverr?
I dont rly know if it is cool to ask someone on fiverr to send views to your gig or am i being to carefull?

    Awesome post btw!

    • November 24th, 2014 at 5:33 pm
    • November 25th, 2014 at 9:49 pm

Don’t ask people to do that for you! They may over do it.
I use the Jingling chinese software to send fake traffic to my gig.
And you don’t need to send more than 250 hits

      • November 27th, 2014 at 8:26 pm

Thank you the software is awesome (besides the chinese part ;)

        Actually i have another question..
Did you submit yout gig to other fiverr like sites (fiverup, taskarm aso.)?

  35. Marcus

Very good post, thanks for the info!!!

  36. 12.2.2014

Matt or Eze. When you said 250 hits. What did you mean with that? Views, clicks or impresions on gig?

    • December 2nd, 2014 at 4:26 pm

      Gig views I believe

      • December 2nd, 2014 at 7:47 pm

Yesterday i create gig. Today i create 290 views, 17impresions, 15 clicks and 1buy from fake acc. Tomorow ill create another 100 views and another buy. Now I have 0,3% conversion.
Which is still good conversion on Fiver for beginner?

Want to try how many times i will need for one niche to be on top ;)

    • December 2nd, 2014 at 9:27 pm

Sending traffic to the gig. (250 Fake Visitors to the gig)

  37. 1.5.2015

Please Mr woodward how can I get a link to download the video tutorial of creating gig on fiverr please I need to make genuine money online

  38. 2.1.2015

@ mathew pls can u gv me the link where to send visitor to my giggs…thanks

  39. 2.12.2015

Sound good will try it :D

  40. 2.19.2015

    Hi… !! Very good info!!
Couple a questions (sorry my english, dont speak it well) :

1.- It’s necesary to create a new gig or does it work with old gigs?
2.- Is there a relationship between the purchase order and traffic? (that’s mean, buying the gig at first and then traffic … or buying while there are traffic… etc… )

Very good info. About ethical issues, I think that it’s about push ur gig on fiverr, not about to scam users with fake reviews. If it is the latter, then yes it would be wrong. The fact is that your sales flow depends on luck and not of requirements established by fiverr.

    Thanks for the info.

  41. 3.1.2015

Personally I find it the easiest to start making money on Fiverr by following your passion while providing a service that is in high demand, such as video testimonials (if you love acting, that is). These days video testimonials are all the rage and if you’re not extremely shy in front of a camera, you can certainly start making some money quickly on Fiverr by investing in a decent quality camera. And pretty much that’s it! Just follow your intuition and have fun doing it, and understand that at the beginning you’re not going to be making a lot of money shooting videos of yourself, but if you look at the ones on Fiverr that have 2000 plus positive reviews, you know that there is serious money to be made if you persist, which is what I’m aiming to do.. so far I’ve got about 10 but I’m optimistic that through hard work and dedication I’ll be driving the numbers up steadily..

The key is creating value for others while having fun doing it, and be consistent.. and remember: creating a service is much easier than creating a product. Good luck!

  42. 3.8.2015

I love this article. I was introduced to it by one of my fans on Facebook and have a listing for phone chat already, however reading this article has given me a lot of new ideas.

I already create custom videos and photo sets and tailored correctly, I feel I could offer various forms of visual products.

One question though, when someone buys my phone gig am I allowed to give them my phone number to call? I see that Fiverr don’t like you giving out any external contact details so wondered how this would work?

Additionally, obviously, strictly speaking, my services are of an adult nature, however I am ‘softening’ my offerings due to the terms and conditions, how best can I use Fiverr in this respect, to promote what I do?

All and any help and/or suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Divine Blessings

Thanks for a well decorated article.

I have read so many articles on this topic but i found this particular post simple and interesting. There is this post i came across not long ago, the article encouraged Nigerians to open their account as an american( fake location ) reason because, people like american product. Secondly, the article made it clear that you can achieve the faking process by changing your proxy so as to avoid detection. He also said you can do the faking process by using a proxy site he mentioned in the article.

However, i don’t want to doubt anybody in this issue but just need a straight forward answers to my questions below…

1). Can you actually make your cash using a Nigerian account( location showing that you are a Nigerian)?

2). If, the answer to the above question is yes, must you log in through the proxy site instead of fiverr website?

3). Can you actually do the fiverr business effectively with your mobile phone?

4). How often do you need to stay online?

5). How can you withdraw your cash since they make use of pay pal account? .

Please i need a well detailed answer because am looking into the business and will not like to delve into it uninformed. Some people a wallowing aimlessly in some business because of limited information.

Do us (those ignorant of the ideas) a favour by telling us all we need to know about the aforementioned business (fiveer). You are surly helping a thousand souls if you reply to this questions.
Looking forward to here from anybody with proper information.

    Best regards…

  44. Z tamim

Hi, This is simple but awesome post. I really interested to do as you said. But I have few question.

    1. who will provide the content to make whiteboard animation video?
    2. should I send fake traffic daily or once at the beginning of the gig create ?

    • April 19th, 2015 at 2:45 am

1). Hi the buyer provides you with the script, then you make the video with it.
2). Send the traffic only once 24 hours after you’ve successfully followed the aforementioned steps.

  45. Chirag Nayyar

  49. Malik Mati

I wasn’t successful on fiverr but will try again with these tips, thanks for sharing :)

  50. 5.6.2015

I have few questions and hope that you will answer these:

    1) what are chances of Gig or Fiverr account getting blocked if I create two accounts ?

    2) Again what are changes of Gig or Fiverr account getting blocked if I get fake visits to my Gig ? if you can give some suggestion about how to get fake visits without getting blocked ?

    • Emmanuel
      August 4th, 2015 at 11:07 am

Malik Chances are Fiverr will restrict any new account you create as their policy clearly stated that you can operate only one account. But if you must do this i advice you get another system and not 2 accounts on 1 system as their Tech department is serious about blocking accounts from same ip

  51. Mycorps

This is my second time read this post.
The first time I read after you sent the link, I was just, “Oh. Okay.”
Just felt suck because I think It like freelanc*er or Elan*e where you have to struggle to get first order.

But, over 1 month ago I opened an account on Fiverr!
I forgot why and how I could finally stop there, but I am a level 1 seller now with only 9 possitive reviews.

You know that I am a rookie in IM. So, I think I was lucky enough that I got my first order only 2-3 days I opened my first gig (Google plus followers). No video on my gig.

    From my experience:
    1. some buyers prefer to look for a new gig/seller. Maybe they know that the seller need their reviews. If you give your best, they will become your repeat buyers.

    2. some buyers does not have time to explore all the gigs. They just quickly pick what they see. One of my buyers asked to add her facebook followers just 100++ for 1 gig using my “I will help you anything” gig. If she did a little research, she could find other gigs that offer hundreds/thousands (fake/inactive user for sure) for $5

    3. some buyers do not want to share their privacy like passwords. But do not worry, if you need it for your good quality gig, there will buyer who will buy it, like my G+ follower gig. But there was a buyer who bought 2 gigs with extra, totally $35.

    4. If you are new and not from English country, just use google translate to help you. Just a short sentence and must know how to communicate online (never use caps lock, etc)

Anyway, sometimes I buy other gigs too. Bad things I had experience as buyer.

I bought a gig that the result didn’t in accordance with the descriptions. Will never buy it again!

Recently, there was a new seller has no order yet, he give 150 things. I did repeat orders to him. Less than 1 month, it became 70 and couple days later he just provide 55 things. Such a dramatic changed. He has 38 orders with 2 negative reviews. But he is even not a level 1 seller now.

So, I started to find another seller, created a request gig. There was a new seller’s offer. After a long discussion, because I need the things almost regularly, we made a deal that he will provide me 150 things for my 2-3 first order, and permanently 100 things after that whenever I order.

I said that I will buy 3 gigs 3 days later. And when the day came, I request a custom offer. He replied he couldn’t do that. Why? We discussed it before. His answered: “I said that before because I do not have any buyers. But now, I have a huge order 250 things for $20.” And his gig was already 70 things for $5 that time.

Absolutely, we will not success with that attitudes!
Just wonder how long he will go on Fiverr :p

    PS: both are from Banglad*sh

  52. 7.1.2015

Hi, matt can you explain me how to get fake visits, I’m just starting out and want to know how to get fake visits though I google my name + fiverr to make some visit but is there any other method to do this.
    Anyway thanks nice post.

  53. 7.10.2015

Excellent post thanks for sharing this useful information and tips with us.I got very useful information from your tutorial

  54. Kome Itoje

This post is awesome! At least this is a lot better than article writing!

When I told my kid sister (not a kid anymore though) that she could make a whale of money from Fiverr, she simply scoffed at the idea and almost laughed me to scorn!

But, here you have proof that $5 can quickly become $2,000 within a few weeks and for a very simple 10 to 20 minutes work too.

Indeed, this is a practical demonstration of the fact that you need to think and act smart in order to make money online.

Congratulations John on your success with Fiverr and thank you Mat for publishing this post.

And John, what is the problem with your site? It is not available online.

You may want to address the issue at once.

    All the best.

  55. 7.24.2015

Hey, you can get free 5 $ on Fiverr and you can buy any item with that 5$.

  56. K. Joshi

Hello, Matt! (and Mr. Eze the post-author)!

I created a Fiverr account several weeks ago and actually forgot about it until I came across this post while surfing the internet! I was like, “Woah! I have a Fiverr account too, but I never realized that any income was possible! Should have researched!” Haha!

I am now thinking that maybe my gigs aren’t selling because I didn’t add any video or proper photos when uploading the gig. That was a terrible mistake, I realize now!

So, I have a small question to ask: Can I use the same old account for my coming, better gig posts, or should I start over with a new account and a separate e-mail address?

    With best regards,
    K. Joshi

  57. 8.11.2015

Hello Mathew, thanks a bunch for sharing this post from John… Found it super useful, I would remix the method and try it on a different gig offering.

  58. 8.13.2015

There are a few Fiverr clones. I wonder about earning money there. Is it easier or harder?
On one hand, there is less competition there. OTOH also less buyers.
    What do you think?

  59. john

My gigs are disappeared from search after 3 years for no reason at all! So no more clients, end of the Fiverr story.

We have contacted the support, all tickets are not answered and are still open after 4 months!

      Honestly Yes!

2 method to boost your visibility on Fiverr

Very First, Increase your Visitors By posting your Gig on This website brings you a huge number of real search engine visitors to your fiverr gig, posting is absolutely free. Goldexcel visitors would 99% buy your gig because it compare your gig with others and filter out the best suitable gig out of 120 websites and recommend users to go and buy. Rests of the other examples are follows
Choose an appropriate gig tile describing your service in minimal words possible. After that, you need to use High Quality and relevant images in your Gig’s gallery. Try to explain your Gig’s service clearly in minimum words possible, and use appropriate tags. Try to use Bullet points, Bold/Italics/Underline, & Highlight to draw attention to the main thing. After its all done, do try to be better at rate than other freelancers. I know on Fiverr your gig says I will do this and that for $5, here is how you can propose a better rate. Let’s suppose your are offering English to Russian Translation services. Search for Russian Translation and see how many words others are offering, Lets say someone who had 50+ reviews was offering 300 words for 5$. Now you simply mention that you will translate 450 words for 5$. (Its just an example)

Some Bloggers would said After adding relevant HQ images and right description with better rate, just save the gig and wait for your first order. Don’t Do this, I would Highly Recommend you do not wait for the order Just Go to Spend only $5 to access a premium mebership to get visitors accurate information. you will find below what kind of information you can be able to see.

    Premium Membership:
    1. You will be able to see visitor Country/city
    2. visitor name
    3. visitor IP Address
    4. visitors Photo

Your first priority should be client satisfaction as that brings you 5 star detailed reviews
Detailed 5 star reviews at the start are very useful as people viewing your Gig page will notice it and no. of good words about your services will bring more order.

Remember To Do 2 Things to increase your Sell:

Update your gig details with time so that it sounds better and
Post your Gig on Goldexcel and convert your visitors to fiverr.

  90. Bill

Appreciate this post! It brings up a question that’s been bugging me…
I posted my 1st Gig on Fiver 24 hours ago, but no matter how I search for it (category/subcategory, tag, term used in heading) it can not be found. I even load up ALL of the gigs, narrowed down to New Arrival… it doesn’t display. So I tried logging on via a different browser while searching from the 1st browser… nothing. It’s Active and is under my Profile. Do you know how long it takes Fiverr to enable the display of a new gig?

    • May 2nd, 2016 at 2:54 pm

I suggest you wait a couple of days before searching for it

All in all, the article and the discussions are pretty interesting! Many thanks to both Eze and Matthew for helping people to make money online. My only advice to many of us is to take quick action! Having a great knowledge of things without putting it to practice is not different from somebody who doesn’t have any knowledge of things. One thing is ,though, common to these two people and that is: both have nothing to show off.

This blog encouraged me when first started out on Fiverr. I am technically not a newbie anymore and my dream of making $1000 monthly has become a reality. New goals have been set and one of those is to help my Nigerian brothers become like me and that is why i have created*****-lets-take-advantage-of-it/

    • September 5th, 2016 at 8:50 am

That is great to hear, glad you are seeing success Gerald!

  109. David

Matt allow picture uploading in comments. Then I’ll show my personal earning’s screenshot on fiverr. I’ve created my fiverr account 6 months ago and now I’m banging $2000+ a month. ;)

Wait, no need to allow picture uploading in comments. I’ll upload it some where else and share the url here.

By the way guys no niche, platform or method matters to make money online, all it costs is your time, dedication, hard work and a common sense off-course!

What are your thoughts?
