Yet another great roundup for the month Matt. I like your thought of spending at least $1/day on FB, it really is becoming that important.
BTW, are there only three lessons in your upcoming course? I don’t expect it truly, but just for the info, I’d like to ask how long will it go?

    • February 24th, 2014 at 5:29 pm

Well within those 3 lessons are a total of 20 sub-topics/lessons. In total there will be 19 lessons and in excess of 100 subtopics/lessons

This is a baller round-up Matt. It’s what makes you one of the best bloggers I’ve come across. I bookmarked several articles for later. It’s just insane how much information is out there, as a blogger, it can be easy to let the ego take over and think your own stuff can’t compare to all of this in-depth pretty stuff. At least that’s me speaking for myself.

    • February 24th, 2014 at 5:28 pm

Well there is no such thing as an expert – we are always learning :) That’s the beauty of the web!

  3. 2.24.2014

Haha, Donkey Cutts is hilarious. Way to ruin my afternoon’s productivity Matt!

  4. 2.24.2014

Matthew–Thank you for including my post on generating more blog traffic in your roundup! Did you notice the Beatles references? Happy marketing, Heidi Cohen

  5. 2.24.2014

“Matt Cutt’s explains what life is like as a spam fighter on a daily basis and tells us how bad grammar effect rankings.”

Shouldn’t that be: “…how bad grammar *affects* rankings.”?

    Heh heh

    • February 24th, 2014 at 5:27 pm

As part of my course you have to come up with 15 things your bad at. One of them is-

Grammar – like been or being, your or you’re

  6. 2.24.2014

    Hey Matthew,

    Thanks for the round-up.

If it is not a strategic secret, how much time do you spend on reading different resources (or blogs)?

And, since you know Pat Flynn, once he was asked what blogs/resources he reads regularly and he answered that none. So it was a surprise for me.

Maybe you could share your watching list? :)

    • February 25th, 2014 at 8:38 am

Don’t know really, I have feedly installed with a bunch of blogs and then I look through as well.

Always keen to see whats going on in the niche!

      • February 25th, 2014 at 4:18 pm

        Thanks Matthew.

I think there are programs that are aimed to polish your time management out there if you want.

I use one of them – (it is SaaS).
It can show you how much time you spend working and where (e.g. it can show you the blogs/websites you read and how much time it took for you in a daily/weekly/monthly breakdown).

I would not say I recommend it (because I have not researched the alternatives). But I saw a recommendation to use it (by Neil Patel) and just signed up to a free account there, and see how I perform during my working hours.

I don’t use it in a full potential, but just get a little interesting information on how I spend my time (and I get motivation too – it determines your productive time in some way).

        • February 26th, 2014 at 9:19 am

I have never tried services/software like that but I suppose I dont really need to worry about how my time breaks down.

In the morning I decide whats going to be done today and don’t stop until its done!

  7. 2.24.2014

D***.. I still didn’t make the grade – must try harder!

That keyword research article certainly raised the bar (again!) though.. what happened to the good old days when a 200 word auto-generated keyword stuffed article with a c*** photo was all it took to win the interwebs?

    • February 25th, 2014 at 8:37 am

We should always be trying harder, never stop doing that :)

  8. 2.24.2014

168 case studies: quite a lot to read :)

Nice set of links. Thanks for taking the time to share this.

    • February 25th, 2014 at 8:36 am

No worrys I’ll have more this time next month :)

  9. 2.24.2014

    Hi Matt,

Thank you for this awesome list.

The best one is “168 Case Studies”…:)

Really enjoyed that one … Cheers mate… :)

Have you received my E-Book???.. I believe it is in your mail id…

    • February 25th, 2014 at 8:34 am

Yeah that 1 post alone could eat up an enitre day!

  10. Charles Floate

    Nice roundup Matt, again ^.^

Brian’s keyword research guide was whackkkk, soo d*** big!

    • February 24th, 2014 at 2:30 pm

I bet that’s what all the ladies say!

    Hi Matt!

This is my favorite section of your blog! Thanks a lot for the resources mentioned above.

This month though, the list of articles that i read were completely different than yours with few exceptions. That’s bit strange since mostly i follow the same people/sites that you do with minor additions.

One quick major update to mention on here, Google at last cracked down those “spammed-up” videos on YouTube that i was complaining about for ages (even in my last comment on your blog). If you spend time around black hat forums, you would read it as the first hot topic of the day. This new YouTube update is pretty awesome! maybe because my videos jumped to page #1 or perhaps video marketing now is far much easier and better. You have no idea how hard it is to explain to clients why their high quality videos are ranking underneath a bunch of useless videos that knows nothing but Scrapebox.

    All the Best!

    • February 25th, 2014 at 8:41 am

Yeah that update should prove interesting, from what I can see at the moment videos effected are poor quality and have majorly spammed link profiles. Just got to treat them more like ranking a site now!

Almost as if the algorithm for YouTube videos is now only 1-2 years behind rather than 4-5

  12. 2.24.2014

    Hi Matthew,

What I could say great post!!! I don’t know how you do it but you amaze me with the detail articles that you provide always.

I know for sure that I’ll be using these tips so Matthew thanks again and have a nice day.

    • February 25th, 2014 at 8:34 am

Glad it helped, although these kind of posts aren’t so detailed :)

  13. Great Round-up Matt! Spares me quite a lot of time tbh, appreciate it!

  14. 2.25.2014

    hey matthew

another great post! one of the best

    so much amazing stuff! thanks

    Thanks so much matt!

  15. 2.25.2014

Wow! Thats a lot of reading to do! Started with the Monster Keyword research of course, my favourite topic that always seems to give boggle me!

Looking forward to the new course! Thanks again Matt for all the valuable information you provide us!

  16. 2.25.2014

The resources under traffic generation are pure gold! I subscribe to Heidi’s blog so I know her material is high quality, but this is the first time I see ZenSpill. His guide reminds me of those published by Neil P. (similar design too)

  17. 2.25.2014

    Hey Matthew

I tried to download rankcraker but it seems there is an error from Aweber.

  18. This roundup is ballin’ thanks for putting it together for us.

  19. Andy

That’s great Matt, the roundup may break some wonderful success, I follow up with you.

  20. 3.4.2014

Hi Matthew, great roundup as aways! I’m a student, and i love reading your blog even if i’m not doing any seo or marketing at the moment. You, charles and bhw made me open the eyes on the web. I can’t wait to see your new course, i decided that i will finally start doing something real and concrete.
Could i know how much it will cost ? only to know how much money i have to save

  21. 3.10.2014
