One of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.
So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.
If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!
Here we go-
#1) PinchOfYum.com – $18,734.30 (-$10,687.67)
Altugh it seems the team took a big hit this month it was mostly down to expenses.
However their BlogHer advertising did take a huge dive especially when compared with last years numbers with a lot less traffic.
It is interesting to see the team are considering replacing traditional display ads though. It is also something I have thought of – but what with?
#2) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $17,495.84 (+$691.55)
After a short break followed by a lot of hard work – the blog’s income grew gently.
I spent a lot of time focused on 2 other projects but still managed to crank out 6 posts and improve the conversion rate of the blog.
The $20k barrier still eluded me though and I wonder if I’ll hit it this year now Christmas is closing in =/ My next income report will be ready on the 1st!
#3) MakingSenseofCents.com – $14,136.00 (-$1,136.00)
Michelle quit her full time job 1 year ago and is still rocking it hard!
Although income has dropped as a whole, her affiliate income has grown and its that income that allows us to work less!
It also looks like Michelle might be on track to break the $150,000 mark this year if things continue at this rate! I’ll be watching closely.
#4) Moms-Make-Money.com – $13,356.59 (+$898.34)
Another record breaking month in the row for Deby with nearly 500,000 visitors!
Interestingly Deby has also seen BlogHer revenues drop off a cliff this month much like the #1 placed PinchOfYum team – somethings not right!
It will be interesting to see how her sewing pattern sales perform during the build up to Christmas, who know – we might see another record breaker!
#5) TrueValhalla.com – $3,213.00 (-$22,774.00)
After a huge jump last month comes a harder fall for Matt this month.
With the huge success of last month Matt decided to dedicate the month to his own personal obligations instead of work. Something I would love to do soon!
I would like to say he will pick up the slack next month but it looks like he is just going to take it easy for the next couple of months – well earned!
#6) MyTanFeet.com – $2,182.37 (-$1,204.13)
Yeison & Samantha are still travelling around Asia and blogging at the same time.
Unfortunately they had some problems with hacking and spamming that took a lot of their time & attention to fix instead of driving things forward.
With everything patched up though they can continue to live and work on the road like true digital nomads!
#7) DoSEOYourself.com – $1,933.40 (-$1,430.40)
While Jason is a newcomer to the report that is only because I forgot to add him the past couple of months. Sorry about that!
With his first appearance in the roundup Jason is also celebrating the 12 month mark of his blog which is doing very well.
He is continually experimenting and trying to grow his blog and shares good information in his income reports!
#8) DigitalNomadWannabe.com – $1,025.00 (-$395.00)
Sharon also had some technical problems this month which distracted her.
In fact it seemed most of her month has been technical issue after technical issue – sometimes you have just got to take the rough with the smooth though!
Income is down this month but she but no effort into attracting income and is focused on her long term goals rather than her short term financial gains.
#9) DumbPassiveIncome.com – $902.80 (-$6.05)
Matt has also had a rough month with things after a negative SEO attack finally set in.
One of the sites he was building had been attacked previously but it wasn’t until the Penguin 3 update that the damage was truly done. That is the problem with Google right now – businesses can be destroyed.
He still has some irons in the fire though and that Amazon income will flow over the Christmas period!
#10) LifestyleUltimatum.com – $384.86 (+$274.86)
Andreas efforts last month paid off with huge growth this month.
Although it seems he has forgotten the secret to blogging this month which is consistency as he is distracted by client work.
He has set an interesting challenge though – can he buy a new car with his new blog?
#11) RankTactics.com – $375.30 (+$146.05)
Rizvan is my favourite blogger to watch in the leaderboard as he continues to grow.
All of his key metrics continue to grow steadily & most importantly has taken income out of the negative and into the positive consistently.
He is going to start publishing case studies on his blog in an effort to grow traffic further!
#12) SelfMadeBusinessman.com – $308.00 (-$93.00)
Dave saw a small hit with his blog this month but nothing major.
At the moment Dave hasn’t made any effort to monetise his blog over and above selling email leads via AfterOffers when people optin to his list.
However his squeaky clean blog did lose a third of organic search traffic when the blog networks got deindexed which will impact things moving forward =\
#13) MyRecipeBook.co.uk – $2.07 (-$1.78)
Charlotte is feeling the blues this month as she is overwhelmed with everything.
This happens a lot to people getting started and its important you prioritise low time/money investment but high return tasks to gain as much traction as possible to start with.
Personally I would focus on the design, user journey and conversion rates before anything else.
This month we have seen 3 of the top earners drop out as they didn’t publish any income report or even any posts really, hopefully they will be back next month!
Last month the blogs featured earned a total of $126,140.97 but with 3 of our big players dropping out that has dropped to $74,049.50 this month.
I still think we can break the $150,000 barrier though even if Christmas is coming, November is usually a big month for a lot of niches.
My new income report will be published on Monday the 1st and I’m hoping November has treated me well so I can finally break that $20k barrier!
If you feel inspired to follow in their foot steps then why don’t you start a blog today? It only takes a few minutes!

I only include the earnings history of the top 10 blogs each month to make the graphs easy to read.
