One of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.
So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.
If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!
Here we go-
#1) PinchOfYum.com – $22,280.50 (+$5,161.58)
Another month and another number 1 spot for the food blogging duo!
It is great to see these guys continue to grow in what many people consider an impossible niche to make money from! I wondered if they could break $20k this month, well the proof is in the pudding!
They continue to make huge income from advert sales while growing their own range of products and offering advice to other food bloggers.
#2) MakingSenseofCents.com – $13,493.00 (+$1,393.00)
Michelle finally took the jump to full time IM this year and has just posted her best month yet!
This is her third year of blogging and she has has seen great success growing quicker than ever before this year!
She has some great plans laid out in her income report to keep growing this year – good luck!
#3) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $12,357.33 (+$1,568.20)
After seeing a drop in income last month I was able to pull it back this month.
In fact traffic was actually down and was distracted most the month with Snowbombing, the UK Blog Awards and moving country.
I have big plans for the coming months but I’m expecting to see a big drop in my next income report which will be ready in 2 days. But who knows, every month I have done the bare minimum – income has increased.
#4) Moms-Make-Money.com – $7,020.66 (+$633.72)
Deby has spent most of her time focused on her other sites but has still posted a nice increase this month.
She is having a rough time with Google updates and declining traffic and seems shocked at the prices of hiring an SEO expert to fix the issues.
The problem with SEO experts, is anyone that actually knows how to rank websites consistently – isn’t cheap to hire. Their time is better spent building & ranking their own sites for much much larger financial rewards.
#5) RatRaceGrad.com – $4,935.30 (+$704.80)
Last month Jennifer told us that the 31st of May will mark the last day of living the rat race.
This can be a nervous time for anyone but Jennifer has put in the blood, sweat & tears in her spare time to build an online income.
Looking back at when I did this, my friends told me how stupid I was to give up a high paying job and pursue my passion. Now I live in paradise, they don’t. Good luck with your first full month of freedom Jennifer!
#6) TrueValhalla.com – $3,198.00 (+$821.00)
Matt had a rough time with tax season last month and was distracted by hosting problems this month.
That came at the expense of now only his time to fix the problems, but also a huge loss in income.
Although he finished the month 2 weeks behind on work, he still managed to pull his income back for a nice increase this month! Everyone’s a winner!
#7) DumbPassiveIncome.com – $1,501.49 (-$983.66)
On the surface it looks like Matt has had a bad month but he has actually reinvested his profits on a number of fronts.
First he has hired virtual assistants to free up his time & help grow the business & secondly in links from various networks to bolster his Amazon & Adsense sites.
Unfortunately he made the moved to WPEngine this month & we all know why they should be avoided.
#8) MyTanFeet.com – $1,327.92 (-$348.07)
Yeison & Samantha fell short of their personal target this month & ended up with less money.
The reason for this was because they were so focused on making money and hitting that target, they forgot about the core values that got them there in the first place.
In the first 22 days they only made $39.48 – but once they change their attitude and forgot about the money, they made nearly $1,300 in 9 days. Kudos!
#9) MakeMoneyLessons.com – $851.31 (-$456.37)
Dean has seen a huge drop off in earnings this month compared to last month.
I would love to be able to tell you why that is but his income reports are becoming less and less informative.
If next month’s doesn’t add any value and purely reports on numbers, I will cut it from the round up next month. If you have published 3 monthly income reports consistently that add value, let me know.
#10 My4HrWorkWeek.com – $221.53 (-$394.43)
All of Eric’s income streams are truly passive in his spare time.
However the drop off this month is due to the fact he has spent most of his time & energy buying his first house – congratulations!
At the moment he is spending time thinking about the future of his online business and where he would like to take it, would love to see Eric quit his full time job in the future and pursue the dot com lifestlye!
Compared to last month the rankings look pretty much the same, the only thing that has changed is how much money everyone earned!
Last month we saw a huge drop down to $57,779.59 in total which has increase to a grand total of $67,187.04 this month!!
It is great to see the collective earnings on an upwards trend again and I hope this continues next month. Although personally I have been hugely distracted with travelling around Costa Rica and the very slow pura vida lifestyle here.
I would love to include more blogs in these round ups so if you publish monthly income reports that offer value & have published at least 3 consistently get in touch!
My new income report will be ready in 2 days, it has been a very rough & challenging month on all fronts to say the least.
I only include the earnings history of the top 10 blogs each month to make the graphs easy to read.
