One of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.
So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.
If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!
Here we go-
#1) DollarsAndRoses.com – $17,762.79 (-$809.78)
The husband and wife team have chalked up another impressive month even if they saw a slight loss month on month.
What is impressive is how they grew the blogs traffic by 522% in a year!
In January 2012 they had 1,604 visitors – January 2013 however delivered 9,983! Congratulations on your success guys!
I really am coming for your number 1 spot though – mark my words 😛
#2) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $9,511.93 (+$3,715.90)
I figured I would include my income report in this list to measure how I stack up directly.
Not a bad month for me but I did miss my target!
I’m also expecting to miss it this month as I’ve stopped taking on client work to spend more time on the blog which takes longer to bring home the bacon so to speak!
#3) LeavingWorkBehind.com – $6,872.54 (+$2,558.54)
Tom has had a cracking month with a nice increase on last month’s income report! Not only that but he pushed Kirsty out of the #3 spot!
This is his biggest month yet (congrats!) and his increased earnings comes from taking on more writing work from clients.
So you guys are going to visit his site and order some of his writing to help him out right?
#4) PinchOfYum.com – $5,686.90 (+$1,409.90)
The Pinch Of Yum team have also seen their biggest month to date!
What is interesting though is how pageviews increased by 200,000 but earnings from Adsense and BlogHer actually decreased!
Luckily though the loss in profit was made up with sales of their product and affiliate sales – good job covering all your bases guys!
They also integrated an email sequence for subscribers – quick tip, open by asking what their #1 problem is to create a stronger relationship and plan out your future content
#5) NerdyNomad.com – $4,998.00 (-$32.00)
Kirsty clocks in a respectable $4,998 this month but admits she got a bit lazy!
Now you have to deal with the fact that you slipped down the leader board 😛 Hopefully Kirsty manages to regain her motivation next month, I’ll put it down to the post-Christmas blues!
By the way, the site still loads really realllly realllllllly slowly – please fix it
#6) SchoolOfPodcasting.com – $1,914.96 (+$500.96)
Dave has had another great month which has pushed him up from the #9 spot to the #6 spot!
Most of his income is driven from sales of his school of podcasting product which I’m told is the best of its kind!
Would of love to have seen a bit more detail in the report, but he only works 2 days a week so I’ll let him off!
#7) TrueValhalla.com – $1,753.00 (-$1220.00)
Matthew maintains his #7 position but posts a month on month loss of $1220.00 which is a pretty big hit by anyone’s measure!
However it’s not all doom and gloom!
He has spent a lot of time preparing and launching his product which has distracted him from the blog and client work. I’ll be feeling the same pain over the coming weeks!
He is now in a very strong position as he begins to establish himself as the dominant force in HTML5!
#8) My4HrWorkWeek.com – $1,727.72 (+$253.74)
It’s good to see that Eric recovered from the previous loss by chalking up a good increase this month!
Not only that – but he is the 3rd blogger in the report to break their income record this month!!! Proper belting that!
He has created a bunch of Squidoo lenses this month, invested in some loans and entered the Authority Site Duel – if this was starting mid-April-May I would have being all over that myself!
#9) BitDoze.com – $406.63 (+$255.63)
Dragos is moving and shaking now pulling his way from the bottom spot!
This month he went all out and published a Kindle book and launched an authority site with his girlfriend.
I get the feeling in the months to come Dragos will be threatening my position in the income rankings!
#10) HowIGotRich.net – $323.00 (-$11.00)
It seems like Joe is having a hard time at the moment going from $1,216 a couple months back to the $300 mark the last couple of months.
This month he took on some writing work via oDesk which left no time for affiliate marketing.
Perhaps if you shoot Tom from LeavingWorkBehind.com an email he can help you out with making money from content writing. Drop me an email with the authority site your having problems as well and let’s see if I can help you out too!
What an incredible month, 3 bloggers had their biggest earnings month ever!
That is very impressive guys, congratulations to each of you and I’m already looking forward to see how you perform next month!
It’s great to see how we have people earning from a huge variety of sources from investing in loans all the way through to creating food photography eBooks.
I’ve experimented with a few ways to improve my income reports the past week and have had some fun with Google Graphs.
My next income report is due tomorrow and I want to know if it’s worth getting up extra early to add pretty graphs for you guys.
So let me know what you think in the comments!
Here is the first one which shows you how each site has performed since I started publishing the roundups-
