One of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.
So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.
If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!
Here we go-
#1) ACoupleTravelers.com – $17,840.00 (+$3,938.00)
Dave & Vicky have switched down a gear this month into a slower routine, it has certainly paid off!
They have spent time building new blogging partnerships which makes up most of their income.
Unfortunately they didn’t do so well with the latest page rank update!
#2) MakingSenseofCents.com – $13,387.00 (+$1,460.00)
Michelle was featured in the roundup for the first time last month and is making good progress.
This was her first full time month of self-employment and wanted to end the year in a bang!
I think we can all agree she has certainly done that! Ka-Pow!
#3) TrueValhalla.com – $12,567.00 (+$10,022.00)
Without doubt Matt has done the most impressive job all round this month.
He has set a bunch of new records including most earnings & most traffic all while launching a complete redesign.
Most of his income is coming from his HTML5 game licensing to a range of publishers.
#4) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $11,407.36 (+$1,551.57)
At long last I have broken my $10,000 target but have stayed in 4th position, dang!
I also won the best affiliate blog of 2013 from the Affiliate Summit team which is by far the most prestigious award the blog has had yet.
I was invited to film at the Google Campus in London to be part of a new documentary looking at digital nomads, more details soon 😉
#5) GodOfSEO.co – $11,313.00 (+$6,281.00)
Charles took a break last month which saw a huge drop – nice to see he has bounced back this month!
Most of Charles earnings are made up from client/consultation work which is why he has big drop offs taking breaks.
But out of everyone in these income reports, he is coming along leaps and bounds building a great future for himself day by day. Keep on playing player
#6) PinchOfYum.com – $10,812.76 (-$4,236.06)
The PinchOfYum team had a scorcher of a month last month but things have cooled down a bit.
That’s not to say it wasn’t an awesome month, those kind of earnings would have put them #1 in the roundup not so long ago.
They bring up an interesting topic though and that is finding the fine balance between work and life, something I personally struggle with as well. It is a fine line to walk.
#7) Moms-Make-Money.com – $4,826.86 (-$66.20)
Deby’s income has grown steadily month on month but looks to have hit a plateau this month.
This has happened with nearly every single blog I have featured in the roundups so I wouldn’t worry that much!
It was however her 1st blogging birthday and I think we can all agree she has done a great job in her first year.
#8) LostCyclist.me – $3,543.96 (+$265.82)
Quinton posts a small but important increase this month after a lot of growth recently.
It sounds like he has had a busy month launching 2 new sites, getting a YouTube account banned and upsetting Clickbank.
Hopefully he has managed to have some time off over the festive period!
#9) MakeMoneyOnlineHQ.com.au – $1,294.31 (+$500.31)
Greg was making a slow recovery from Penguin damage last month and it looks like he is right on track!
He has also had a very busy month – seems to be a common trait this month amongst all the bloggers!
It’s a shame he had to deal with legal issues for one of his sites though.
#10) MakeMoneyLessons.com – $736.13 (-$638.05)
Dean has had a hard time the past month posting a near 50% drop in income!
He is stuck between a rock and a hard place because even though traffic has increased, it is from countries that don’t bring in much advertising revenue.
He should consider geo targeting some ads or removing ads entirely for those users in exchange for opt in boxes with an engagement funnel on the back end.
#11) My4HrWorkWeek.com – $364.40 (+$110.57)
Eric has an interesting way of generating money which is truly passive with zero effort.
He uses a range of things like loans, fantasy sports teams & mini sites.
All of his time & energy is being spent on a new site which he is yet to reveal!
#12) AvocadoPesto.com – $303.00 (-$956.00)
Vicky posts a big drop this month but seeing as her sister site (ACoupleTravelers) did so well I doubt she is worried.
Earnings have been up and down like a yoyo for the past few months for the travelling food blog.
Now they have switched into a slower travelling gear we might see AvocadoPesto restored to its former glory!
#13) 87Studios.net – $232.40 (-$25.86)
Last month’s newcomers have seen a slight drop off in traffic & earnings this month.
Browsing around the blog though it is clear they are doing an awesome job with content – it’s just a matter of time.
I would like to see them integrate some of the principles I discussed at Boston SEO here to help things a long a bit.
There we only 13 blogs featured this month compared to last month’s 14 that published income reports.
Luckily though that hasn’t had an impact on the total combined earnings, not by a long shot.
Last month the blogs earned a combined total of $77,977.94 which has increased massively to $88,628.18 this month!
I want to give a special shout to Matt for his fantastic performance this month with a $10,022 increase – well done!
You should also take a look at some of the things Charles is getting up to, he is attacking from all angles at the moment!
And last but not least, congratulations to Dave & Vicky for reclaiming the elusive number 1 spot once again! Hopefully our paths will cross again soon.
Last month I wanted to see if we could break the $90,000 barrier collectively & we just missed it.
But December is always one of the most profitable months for a lot of industry’s so buckle up for next month’s roundup!
I only include the earnings history of the top 10 blogs each month to make the graphs easy to read.
