Income Report Roundup – April 2014

PLEASE SHARE

Income report roundupOne of the most popular posts I publish are my income reports.

So I decided to round up as many income reports as possible and rank them based on earnings to see how I stack up against the rest.

If you publish an income report on your blog and would like it included in next month’s post then please let me know in the comments!

Here we go-

#1) PinchOfYum.com – $17,118.92 (+$4,003.97)

PinchOfYumThe food blogging duo have hit another home run to reclaim the top spot!

Traffic is looking incredible right now with Pinterest absolutely dominating sending 606,345 referrals in total!

Congratulations guys and keep on fighting the good fight – be great to see you creep past $20k next month :)

#2) MakingSenseofCents.com – $12,100.00 (-$1,354.00)

MakingSenseofCentsMichelle has secured top spots for the past few months.

She has looked back at her success over the past year, in just 12 months she has multiplied her income 18 times over from $672!

That’s no easy task and you can be sure a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into that.

#3) MatthewWoodward.co.uk – $10,789.13 (-$4,039.91)

Matthew WoodwardA drop in come compared to last month as my time is tested.

Trying to run a business, move country & go on holiday all in the same month is pretty taxing. Some solid tips in the income report though!

Only 3 more days until I move and there is a lot to sort out, I’ll be delivering my income report on the 1st as usual though :)

#4) Moms-Make-Money.com – $6,386.94 (+$1,034.32)

MomsMakeMoneyDeby jumps up a couple of spots this month posting a steady increase in profits.

What is strange though is that increase in profits came out of not really posting or updating the blog that month.

It’s weird because that’s a trend I have noticed myself with this blog!

#5) RatRaceGrad.com – $4,230.50 (-$1,960.54)

RatRaceGradDon’t be fooled by the numbers this has been a huge month for Jennifer.

While income has dropped she has decided to finally pull the trigger and the 31st of May will be her last day of employment.

When you look at the maths she spent 502 hours at work to earn the same as she did working 82 hours online! Congratulations on the move full time!

#6) DumbPassiveIncome.com – $2,485.15 (+$1,514.05)

DumbPassiveIncomeMatt was facing tough times recently but he has bounced back this month!

One of his Adsense sites he has been working hard on really brought home the bacon this month.

He is reinvesting his profits this month to continue to grow his income streams – just be careful if you put all your eggs in Google’s basket!

#7) TrueValhalla.com – $2,377.00 (-$537.00)

TrueValhallaMatt has had a pretty dull month all-round due to the dreaded tax season.

That took up the majority of his time but he did manage to take a short holiday and write more of his book.

Staying on the cutting edge of games development he also ordered the Oculus Rift dev kit! That will keep you busy for sure!

#8) MyTanFeet.com – $1,675.99 (+$67.20)

MyTanFeetYeison & Samantha continue to show steady growth this month!

Samantha took some time off this month so Yeison was left in charge of the ship for a while.

He ended up making a great multi lingual internet marketing blog – planting seeds for the future!

#9 My4HrWorkWeek.com – $615.96 (+$289.91)

My4HrWorkWeekEric has had a well deserved increase in income this month.

Although his income has increased he is starting to realise the stresses of managing a blog that publishes 5 times a week.

He has a solution for this though as he breaks down the rest of his truly passive income sources.

In Summary

Well I’m sad to say that we have lost 2 more blogs from the roundup this month after another 2 dropped out last month.

If your blog publishes a regular income report then I would be happy to feature it here. You must have published 3 in success that offer your advice/tips.

If that sounds like you then please let me know!

Last month the blogs earned a combined total of $72,471.64 which has seen a huge drop off to $57,779.59 /sadface

I have been busy packing in preparation for my travel to Costa Rica this month so I’m hoping someone else picks up the slack this month!

I will still be publishing my income report on the 1st though – the last thing I’m packing is my computer!!!

    Hey Matt,
nice roundup once again. I would love to reach those numbers sometime in the future with my blog :-)

Although your income has decreased it’s still above 10k so congrats on that!

  2. 4.28.2014

Considering the move and everything, I think it’s still a good turnaround for this month.
You’ll be back in the top spot in a matter of time, Matt.
    Everyone’s doing great! :D

        Looking forward to that, too.
You know my heart skips a beat each time I see reports and numbers. Haha.

    Hi Matt,

Do you know why the blogs you mention above stop reporting their earnings ?

Is there any reason in particular ?

    • April 29th, 2014 at 10:12 am

Not sure but I guess Charles got real busy with all his client work

    • April 29th, 2014 at 11:53 am

My blog used to be featured, but we stopped publishing income reports.

Personally I felt concentrating only on earnings was a bad way (for me) to build an authority blog in the “WordPress” niche.

After 18 months I am now letting my focus drift back to earnings, but I doubt we will publish earning reports again (not for this blog anyway)

That is not to say that I don’t love reading other peoples though :)

Hiya Matt! I’ve been following your blog since last summer, yet have only just recently started mine.

I’d like to include an income report next month, and I happen to also have exactly three articles. One is a case study though.

Before I forget; I recall you mentioning numerous times that you’ve been busy with putting together a course. I hate to admit, I’ve been a bit out of touch with your blog. How’s that coming along?

    • April 28th, 2014 at 7:12 pm

Please see the requirements at the end of the post :)

I have put that on hold during the move but its my main project right now!

Gotcha. I actually wasn’t sure how you meant that bit to be read, thus the mention of the post count. Looks like I’ll get my shot in August then.

I’m looking forward to the course!

Nice list there. Haven’t heard of some of those guys, but will now be following them and their progress as well. Always cool to see people moving and growing their business along side me :)

  7. 4.29.2014

It really gives me motivation to read income reports and success stories.

Well just hold on, I will be soon in the List Too :)

    Thanks for Sharing

    Hi Matt,

Came across your fantastic site on Kingged.com.

Interesting income reports. I post an income report every month, too. I have had my blog for 16 months or so now, and I seem to be stuck on around 2k visitors per month and on average $500 income per month (directly from the blog).

So it is interesting to see how these people (including yourself) are doing better than I, I will be sure to try and pick up some tips!

  9. 4.29.2014

    Perhaps we’ll see :)

  10. 4.29.2014

    That’s the plan!

  11. 4.29.2014

    Hi Matt,
Its always good to see your monthly income report. The figures here are impressive as usual and more importantly the blogs like like DumbPassiveIncome.com and TrueValhalla.com. The stories behind these blogs are practical.

    Oh Great,

Pinchofyum again gain 1st spot. But it is not good Matthew you had to secure 2nd position. By the way better luck next time…. :)

    • April 29th, 2014 at 10:11 am

As long as I maintain my $10,000 barrier I don’t care where I come :)

  13. 4.29.2014

Very impressive! I’d love to reach those numbers in sales and the only difference is that I run an ecommerce store. Got a long, hard road to profitability…

  14. 4.30.2014

Expenses are expenses :) Thanks Chris!

  15. 4.30.2014

What happened to g** of seo??

    • April 30th, 2014 at 6:21 pm

Didn’t publish an income report – my guess is all the client work is catching up

  16. 5.2.2014

Congratulations to Jennifer! That’s gotta feel so great being finally able to quit your job…. Ahh I can’ wait!

Hi Matt! Wish you all the best with moving abroad!

Just wanted to ask what sort of soft you’re using to create those lovely interactive charts like “performance tracking” one?

What are your thoughts?
