Best YouTube Tutorials Ever!
I went through Matt's YouTube lessons step-by-step and followed his advice religiously. Putting my trust in his lessons has TRANSFORMED my channel. Since applying what I've learned, YouTube has noticed my channel (http://www.youtube.com/juniorhockeytruth) and assigned me a content rep to help grow my audience this quarter strictly based on the fact that I'm following best practices... and those are Matt's practices. I really can't take credit for my channel without mentioning this blog. Thanks Matt!

See How Matthew Helped Me Make 5x More Money With My Site
Matthew’s website is mainly about link building but believe me this is just one part of his internet marketing skills. I asked him for a few advices about my ecommerce site and it really changed the way I look at my site (and all sites I will build in the future). The comments he made pushed me to do my best to get the on-site elements done correctly before attacking the link building part. I wasn’t fully aware of the importance of all the on-site elements and didn’t think it could help the conversion that much. I actually thought that getting more traffic was the only way to go to make more money online. Turned out I was able to take my conversion rate from 1% to 5% in a matter of 3-4 weeks. That means my profit was multiplied by 5 without any additional link building! Believe me it makes much more sense to improve conversion than building links. First, it’s easier. Second, there is no risk getting penalized by google. This is opening many doors for me. For example, with a 1% conversion rate, I was not able to get adwords traffic to be profitable for my site but now it probably will. That means it is giving me another source of traffic: Even more profit. I am also expecting to receive some love from Google for all the things I changed on my site, so it should make the link building part easier now. It’s so easy to forget that link building is just one part of an internet marketing strategy. Thanks Pierre

About Matthew Woodward
The internet is my true passion in life and is something I have been obsessed with since a very young age. I was lucky enough to grow up with the internet to fully embrace it from day 1.
This blog has been featured on a number of media outlets which you can see here.
I started my career online when I was just 13 years old writing games reviews for a website known as NintendoPhiles at the time. Over the next couple of years I developed an interest in competitive gaming and created my first community based website. The website allowed people to share ‘demos’ or short videos of them showing off their best action.
In fact I believe I was the first person to do a 360 no scope in a multiplayer FPS game way back in 2003 (feel free to prove me wrong). When the first video was released people literally went nuts over it and I met a lot of my fans in person at various tournaments.
Here are a couple of videos of me in action way back when (thanks to those that kept hold of these and uploaded them)
Over the next few years I would develop my online skill set, heck I didn’t even know you could make money off the internet back then. I just enjoyed messing around with websites and the like!
Going It Alone
I eventually found myself as head of online marketing for one of the biggest distributors in Europe. I led a range of online marketing campaigns for clients such as Tesco, Asda, Orange, Samsung & Motorola with great success. However the slow pace and rigid nature of the corporate world was falling behind the fast growth and pace of web. There were far too many missed opportunities and frustration led me to pursue my own online marketing ventures.
That was nearly 3 years ago and a lot has changed since then. Working for myself without restriction has allowed me to excel in all areas at a rapid pace. I have researched, built, developed and ranked over 40 websites in the past 3 years while expanding and developing my skill set.
SEO Excites Me
My real passion lies in SEO. I can’t help but get my hands dirty when it comes to ranking websites and it turns out I’m pretty good at it as well! SEO has changed wildly across the last 18 months and it’s this constant change that keeps me hooked, testing and experimenting as I go.
Most people are fearful of Google updating their algorithm, but I actually look forward to the new challenges algorithm changes bring.
Why Setup This Blog?
It is clear from browsing around forums and popular internet marketing blogs that there are a lot of myths and misinformation being spread.
A lot of peoples advice is purely fueled by how much commision the product they are talking about offers without actually having any real hands on experience of using it.
Managing a fleet of websites including everything from identifying emerging markets, designing websites and taking them to the #1 spot in Google has taught me a lot.
What I realised is that I’m not leveraging my most valuable asset, my own personal knowledge and experience.
I decided to setup this blog to share my own learnings and to provide quality advice and tutorials to those who need it.
